Stardust Origins

I love the game so far, but there a far too many bugs, for example all the saves I have for some reason I can not load them without my ship exploding. they would work before but as soon as my ship exploded in one of the save files from lack of service, now all my saves say the same thing. it is so dumb. I am willing to change this to recommend if the DEV or DEVs fix issues like this and maybe implement some sort of cheat menu so when issues arise we can just fix it right away.

Updated review. I previously didn't recommend because of a bug that caused it to crash. The developer responded to my message in the discussion area, worked with my game logs, and fixed the game! I've changed my review to "recommended" primarily because of his responsiveness - because I've hardly got any gameplay time yet. But I already like the game, and now I like the dev. haha I'll try to update once I've explored the game more. Just know it's not abandoned at all.

One of the worst games I have played in quite some time. -There's no straffing. You have to sit there and take bullets head on so your only option is to have a bigger better ship with more fire power because there's no skills involved. -When you open your map to navigate or are in the inventory your ship is sitting there shooting and you are being fined. I went thru all my money navigating thru the map and menus, complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. -the sound keeps shutting off and I have to shut the game off and turn it back on. Right now, the core mechanics of this game sucks.

Too buggy. Tried to love it as a fan of these types of games starting with Escape Velocity, but it's just way too buggy of a game for this price point. 1. The UI needs serious work. Your mouse-clicks can click through multiple layers of stacked UI windows causing you to click on things you aren't focused on. Also, if you play with mouse-enabled shooting, you can accidentally shoot in protected space when clicking around in UI menus 2. The mission select component needs some serious work. It's too hard to tell if it's a local mission, or where exactly the mission is. There's no sorting, or rhyme or reason to the sort order of the "Messages" window. It makes taking missions a serious chore. Also, misclicking inside that window will click down through lower levels of UI windows and open other missions adding to the confusion. 3. Game breaking bugs. One of the starting missions requires you to talk to someone in order to start out your story. You can actually talk to him as many times as you want, and take the quest over and over leading to you having multiples of the same quests in the log. This games is not flushed out; it was disappointing. It could have been really good if they'd have developed the game play, but they didn't.
