DreamWorks Dragons: Dawn of New Riders

This is a very simple and boring hack and slash that is nothing more than a collection of generic maps with a boss at the end. The combat mechanics are also just plain and don't offer much variation, with the only interesting part being able to switch between the rider and the dragon. This makes sense when you think of it as a game for kids, but the problem is that there are other parts of the game which makes it feel like it isn't. The biggest issue I see with this game being designed with kids in mind is first that none of the dialogue is voiced and all text based. There is just way too much reading in this game and no kid would ever read all of this dialogue, so why bother writing it? It isn't exactly fast to skip either and took up quite a lot of the play time. Another issue is that looking at the map for directions is kinda necessary to traverse it, with no easy way of really finding your way without it. This is not a big deal for adults, but this game …

I LOVE FLYING AND THE PVP IN THIS GAME

I mean, it's fine. You'll definitely finish the game before you get bored with it, and probably even complete all the achievements, as I did. You can tell it was made for a younger audience, and I believe they would actually enjoy it way more than I did, but it's still a good game for any of the franchise's enjoyers. I'd give a solid 7/10
