Find Me (2020)

I'm one of the Kickstarter supporters and please keep in mind that the initial game was developed by 4 young girls who met at summer camp to create this game and won the grand prize. It may have taken about 3 years to develop which I understand that these girls may have been working on this on the side while still attending school and such. And of course, had some professional help along the way. Now with that out of the way, this is a legit good game for their level of knowledge in game development. I honestly thought this was going to be a breeze, but truthfully, I am a mediocre player when it comes to platformers, so there were a few areas where I actually struggled to get to the next part. The punishment is that you "lose a life" by being by exposed to the light too long and then respawning at a checkpoint. There are a few awkward/clunky areas, but still responsive and doable. The only glitches I've encountered are small invisible platforms that I bumped into, but not game breaking. I would recommend it to anyone who has a kid or a young loved one who is interested in gaming. Or if you just want a simple platformer that can be easily completed in a hour.

Great effort on this game!

This game has set itself up to immediately be a favorite of mine. As a guy who dreams of having an indie game of my own and have one in development, I can say this feels gratifying. Although this is a somewhat basic game mechanically, Team Invenio uses a tool that all can relate to. Nostalgia and deep childhood memories come together to make a great reminder that not all games need to be big. not all games need to be fancy. This is an equivalent to a small town in game form, and it makes me incredibly happy to know this is from the minds that may become game devs fulltime in the future. I'd be sad to never hear from the youths that made this, because this game changed my views as a gamer. It makes me appreciate the small things, and that is something we all need reminded of time after time.

Very short, but a fun and sweet game. I'm proud I backed this, and I can't wait to see what these girls create with even more resources and experience.

I loved it. The simplicity feels fresh and works so well. The artwork and the cutscenes are very good too.

Gameplay was super fun, not a super long game but still a lovely little gem, and was well worth the price. You can feel the love and thought that has gone into this. I really love the art style, that was what made me check out this game in the first place. Short and sweet, love it!
