its literally a boomer shooter pizza tower absolute gem of a game

this game is if you mixed Spongebob, doom, and saturday morning early 2000s cartoon network cartoons and that is by far the best compliment i can give a game

This is a neutral review. It's okay. It's never great, but it's never terrible either. The game's cutscenes and story can be charming, but you do have to really be in the mood for this style and this type of "dumb" humor, which I was. The soundtrack is also pretty good. A lot of the weapons are either pointless or even a hindrance to yourself. Enemy variety is low, they don't feel like they have an identity and can be hard to distinguish from each other. Their color palette and the background often tend to blend into one another. It's a bit all over the place. Sometimes levels look normal and clear, sometimes it's garish and hard to read, especially combined with the challenge the game asks of you. It almost feels like it was made for zoomers, and I've been playing these types of games for over 20 years. There are not many levels but every level starting from the 3rd or 4th are so immensely gigantic. Some levels are exhausting to go through. The Riptide Rampage mode is ultra chaotic for the sake of being chaotic. It's never more than just okay, bordering on kind of bad. Also, some achievements didn't trigger, which was disappointing.
