Queer and Chill

Not only is this an excellent educational game on sexuality and gender but it is also an amazing puzzle game with many brilliant mechanics. Of course liberties are taken to gamify these aspects but it is wonderfully done. With demisexuals acting as a timing mechanic, keeping the autosexuals from being left alone, the gender-fluid and abrosexuals changing every tile, and the love/sex tiles, the game offers an endless combination of puzzles. And the additional conditions for a perfect score offer puzzle veterans challenges that will have you scratching your head, and praising the designer when you finally solve it.10/10

A fun little puzzle game with an LGBTA+ theme to it. What's not to love? 10/10

Really, really great. As a puzzle game it's super fun and challenging, it has a lot of levels, the art and music are spot-on. However I feel where it shines the most, at least for me a cishet person with little to no contact with the LGBTQ+ community, is that it works as an exercise to help further internalize the dynamics between people of different sexualities and genders. What do I mean by this: sometimes I'll try to match, say, a bisexual man with a heterosexual man and it won't work. Obviously. If I had stopped to think about it for literally a second I would've figured it out by myself. Or sometimes I'll try to walk a heterosexual woman past a bisexual man and they'll accidentally match. Duh. Same thing. However as the game progresses I'll become more and more agile at knowing who matches with whom. It stops being something I have to think about sort of in "manual mode" and becomes second nature to me. The game does a great job all around at educating but it achieves something really neat mechanically.
