Spirit Swap: Lofi Beats to Match-3 To

I am immediately angry that there is no keyboard+mouse support. Why is this not written somewhere before buying it? I really wanted to love this game, I love games with chill atmosphere and a queer theme, but this seems like a forced token-like queerness, while the puzzles themselves are not entertaining at all. It's a swap three genre, but you are only able to swap horizontally, which is already unnerving, but on top of that there are only "versus" games, which are not chill at the least. You can skip every game, with selecting "win this round" from the menu, but going through the conversations are as painful as the puzzles.

Genuinely just an adorable game. Conjures up a beautiful ideal world where you can visit your friends all day, flirt with them all, and fix every problem. The gorgeous art style lends itself so perfectly to the stunning character designs. The main mechanic stays fun while not being too challenging, and I think lofi is the perfect music genre for that. Honestly, I'd forget it was a match-3 game between the story elements. The characters are lovable and weird and unique while also having very real problems. Clearly, this game was a huge labor of love and a giant love letter to the black and queer communities <3

gay panic! the game! but with lots of good tunes and fun matching. i really love the ability to make it as easy or hard as u want, the diversity in this game amongst the characters is beautiful and made me excited to go down every path. i really look forward to what this team does next

This is such a joyful exploration of love, relationships (of many kinds), and the importance of communication all set to an amazing OST with match-3 gameplay of varying difficulty. It doesn't outstay its welcome and is one of those rare games: perfect because it does exactly what it sets out to do. The ONLY thing it's missing is a gallery mode because the pictures at the end of each route are just beautiful and I would love to be able to view them when depression is beating me.

I really liked this game. It has cute, diverse characters and a fun main gameplay loop. I like how they were able to merge two very different genres. I think they fused them well. For a relatively short lil dating sim, I don't have too many complaints. Really, for me, it's just down to the characters. I liked them all, but I do think their romances and just their routes in general all felt a bit repetitive. They were all centered around self-care and taking a step back from work, which is a great message but this was for basically every character. This, and sometimes the characters fell flat, or their main motivations never really came to a conclusion. I could be wrong, but the end-game scene, no matter who you go with, seems to be the same for each character, and I feel this is where wrapping up each character could have gone well. Totally feel free to correct me on this, I have only done the end-game scene with two characters since, like I said, it seemed to have repeated. Still, though, I can't deny I had fun. its pretty much exactly what it says on the tin: a chill, lowkey swapping game with romance elements. swapping can be a little bit hard to get used to if youre more used to regular match3 (since you can only swap horizontally) but im happy with the amount of challenge and the gameplay style! i personally found the writing to be a little too 'quirky therapyspeak everyone talks through their feelings and kisses at the end' but YMMV. (this is not helped by the abundance of characters--it can be hard to keep them all apart.) despite this, the music is really good and the art and aesthetics are very charming and beautiful! if you think you might be interested, give the demo a spin and you'll pretty much know if it's for you or not.
