The plot for Jorry is essentially the same as a lot of other uninspired horror stories; the main character wakes up, can't remember anything at all, and everything unfolds from there. You play as a woman named Claire, who regains consciousness where she finds herself tied to a chair. After she frees herself, a little girl named Jorry contacts her via telephone wanting Claire to retrieve her teddy bear for her. A chainsaw-wielding maniac bursts into the room, at which point Claire hides, and the game goes on from there. To be honest, the entire story is vague, difficult to piece together, and cryptic even when the end comes. Apparently there are multiple endings, but it's anyone's guess as to how they are achieved as there only seems to be a single clear-cut path. Now, where this release really stands out is within its gameplay. This is going to be the type of game that people either really love, or really hate with a passion. The story is as old as time – main heroine, Claire, wakes up in the room with no recollection of what happened. All she knows is that someone is after her. There’s a strange phone call from a little girl that seems to know Claire. The girl asks for help, all the while not quite being sure if she can trust Claire, but regarding her as her last and only option. While Claire can choose to be brusque or genuinely concerned in her response, the nightmare that lays ahead of her will be unchanged – several floors in the strange, opulent mansion plunged into freezing temperatures and overran by undead creatures, full of puzzles she’d really need her wits to figure out. The worst part is that there isn’t much choice. If Claire stays – she dies, if she moves forward then, maybe, she’ll manage to figure out what the hell happened. Figuring that out transpires through occasional conversations with the little girl urging her to hurry and a few internal comments about the task at hand or the strangeness of the situation. This is an Point n Click Horroradventure, a homage to games like the Dig, Phantasmagoria and other games of the 90s. It also has some Survivalelements. Devinately worth it a buy if ur into that.

Jorry seems to have gone completely under the radar, which is a real shame - this is a very unique and interesting game. It uses the Clock Tower building blocks of point and click/run and hide mechanics as the bread and butter of the gameplay, although combat using a slingshot/tooth gun and the teeth of your foes plays an important role here too, with greater or lesser focus depending on the difficulty you play on. The level design is fairly self contained - taking place near exclusively in a single multi story building that you'll find yourself backtracking from floor to floor of as you run from maniacs with chainsaws and kitchen knives, blast zombies heads off with their own teeth, and solve puzzles to try and get to the bottom of what exactly is going on. The puzzles, as with most point and click games, are of course the core of the gameplay.
