The Merry Fairy

I picked this game up during the summer sale and somehow left it sitting in my library without opening it. I finally gave it a try this morning, and I’m so glad I did! There are so many cute little things you can do, like changing the weather, collecting stickers, and writing your own journals. I really love all the different stickers, too. There are flowers, plants, vintage-style ones, and so many other cute designs. I honestly want to collect them all! The stickers actually reminded me of something from when I was little. I used to love collecting candy wrappers because I thought they were too pretty to throw away. I guess I’ve always liked collecting little cute things. 🥹 So being able to collect all these little stickers in the game feels strangely nostalgic. I just wrote my very first journal today, and I even learned how to upload my own photos into the game. I love that I can make the journal feel like my own little scrapbook and fill it with things I like. Everything feels so relaxing and personal. You can just take your time, collect stickers, decorate your pages, write in your journal, change the weather, and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. What I love the most about this ga…

So this really isnt my type of game. That being said I REALLY wanted to support the dev as shes a friend of my good friend. If you enjoy scrapbooking games and chill games like this, this is a must buy. Its also easy to get all achievements! 11/10

This is a sweet little journal/scrapbooking game. I'm having a lot of fun with it, but there are definitely a few QoL things that could be added to make me enjoy it more. 1) the ability to change the color of the quotes. The light yellow doesn't show up well with the majority of the other scrapbook items so there are a limited number of things I can put behind them to make them visible which gets repetitive and limits creativity. 2) More animal stickers! There are so many gorgeous flowers but I would love more fauna. 3) The ability to reach the full menu options from inside the cabin. Having to leave the house to change the volume level meant that I blasted through the fairy letters since returning to the cabin always counts as the start of a new day. 4) for some reason my settings never actually save. So even though I've chosen a windowed view it reverts to full screen every time I open the game, requiring me to put the settings in again. 5) this one is more of an idea than a necessity, but the ability to input a youtube playlist to play through the radio similar to what Spirit City has would be really nice! A cozy scrapbook simulator filled with little details that "magically" put a smile on your face! I'm not the most creative person but I've seen some gorgeous works of art on their discord! It's wholesome, definitely give it a go!

The Merry Fairy is a relaxing little idle/utility game with a cozy vibe. You can turn things around you into stickers for a scrapbook, and you can even upload your own images to use, which is a fun touch. It's a cute concept, and I enjoyed spending time with it. That said, I don't think it's worth $10. If you can grab it on sale, I think you'll be much happier with what you get.
