About EMMA: Lost in Memories

Poetic, surrealistic and melancholic, EMMA: Lost in Memories offers a unique experience in a strange and dangerous world where walls fade away as you touch them.

The main character, Emma, is young, vibrant and intriguing: she leaves her home following an owl, and soon loses herself in a world which she slowly finds more and more dangerous.

Features:
 • One fast and simple mechanic: all the platforms and walls start disappearing when you touch them!
 • The character runs automatically at a fixed speed! Control her special abilities (double jump, dash and climb) and do your best to react at the correct time.
 • Minimalistic 2D artistic style completely drawn by hand.
 • Dynamic gameplay in a poetic and eccentric world.
 • Single-screen levels which combine skill and ingenuity with planification and strategy.
 • Two game modes: Main Story and Memory Chest. Complete the Main Story first to enjoy the levels in the Memory Chest!
 • Delicate reflexion on memory loss.

QUICK REVEW: This is an amazing game, with a beautiful art style, gorgeous graphics and very easy to understand mechanics. PROS: + Gorgeous hand drawn art style + Not just a one-button game. You can double jump, wall jump and power-slide + Collectibles and extra levels for replayability + Amazing soundtrack CONS - Fairly short (Just the main story) Overall I recommend you get this game if you want something cool and calming to play

Awesome little 2D puzzle/platformer, you complete each level by jumping, sliding, and/or climbing whilst anything you touch starts to disappears, so plan your route carefully, you don't control the character as such, you press to start her moving and then control her actions whilst she continues moving forward at a steady pace, well worth the promotional price of £3. I must admit that Emma: Lost in Memories is a hard game for me to review. On one hand, it's has a really novel idea that I love. On the other hand, it's main flaw is pretty glaring, and if it's price wasn't so low or if steam had a "Neutral" rating, I probably wouldn't be recommending it. • Minor Pros - While some of the reviews here say that the game is too short (and for the average game, it indeed is), I feel it lasts exactly long enough that all it's concepts are well explored, but short enough that it doesn't become boring or drawn out. • Pros: - The hook of the game is amazing. It's innovative in concept and well executed. It ties in with the story too, which is nice. - The overall mechanics are simple, yet fully explored. Despite having only three buttons (or less, in the later stages), the levels never got repetitive. - The Feather Collectibles offer some replayability and, in most levels, create a whole new challenge instead of only making the original challenge slightly harder. • Minor Cons: - The difficulty curve is not the best. It wasn't uncommon for me to struggle with a level, only for the following two or three to be a breeze. - Yes, most of …

So far I've only played through the first 10 levels, and I already really like it! The game has a cute aesthetic, good art, the music isn't half-bad, and the story is also simple (haven't finished it yet, but I had to put a review on it) I've been receiving and playing through a TON of indie dev's first games thanks to free keycodes, and usually I'm not too impressed by them. This one however I think it the best one I've played so far, if I can find a friend who might want it I'll consider buying it for them to support these devs. Well done!

EMMA : Lost in Memories is a great puzzle platformer, and is a beautiful piece of art. The lost concept follows you around with disappearing platforms from behind you as if being erased as you chase to hold onto the memories. its poetic and future levels are hidden on the map in a mist to further this notion. Simple control but challenging puzzles make this game worth it. Getting to the end of the level is challenging but to get the memories as well is a true mind bender in some cases. Best look at the level and decide how you are going to use your three skills as Emma to get across. Truly is a wonderful game that gets you to think about your next move and tests your reflexes. 9/10 This is a game for indie fans that love puzzles and with what i have so far (15 levels in) I sense an emotional tone that some will connect with on a personal level.
