Mage VR: The Lost Memories

I ran this game via Oculus / Steam - and it was incredibly well. I had some delay between scenarios but my PC isnt high spec, so it may just been my PC taking its sweet time to load each new area. There is a great tutorial section introducing you to the spells - and the puzzle rooms are excellent for working on switching between spells too. I am not going to lie.. I screamed out loud a lot playing this game because it is so fun battling the monsters. It starts off slow to give you time to get used to aiming and casting, but soon enough you become confident enough to blast your way through the game. I love the detail in the environments and the monsters are fantastically created. Definitely give this game a try.

Finished the game in 68mns. Spotty localization. Uninspired puzzles and locations. Boring combat. Unoptimized. The best part was the spell gestures...kinda. Some worked every time and could be cast quickly while others you'd do the same gesture three times and get three different spells. Hopefully this was a first time project and lessons were learned for the next one. Kudos for releasing a finished if unpolished product instead of leaving it to rot in the endless pit of abandoned early access.

Initially the controls are only visible for the first 10 seconds or so of play, the tutorial was inaccessible and loading times were upwards of 2 minutes when it didn't crash, framerate was choppy even when in the hub and spells were difficult to figure out due to the lack of tutorial, and there were no pause or options menus whatsoever.
