Blaster Master Zero 3

Great end to the trilogy and I still think this (series) is one of Inti's best work(s). Even though the story is conclusive and am fine with it ending here would not mind seeing this formula evolved even more (especially the top down sections with more movement/combat options). Please make a bundle with all 3 games included (with the DLCs added in to maybe), kind of silly there isn't one already. Otherwise fantastic game!

Ya know, I didn't know the 2nd game had a sequel until a few years after. This game is great and it basically ends the story of Jason and his robot lover. The gameplay was improved greatly, coming in with new and familiar ideas. I wonder if the original creator of METAFIGHT ever thought their idea would go beyond the first og nes game? Glad it did, this was a fun series to get into. Would recommend if you like metroidvanias and tense top down shooting action.

Great finale to the series. Everything feels dialed in at this point and the difficulty is well balanced. Once you catch the hint at "the ending," it takes a fun turn and there's much more content afterwards. Cool idea. If you've already played the first two definitely pick it up.

Story-wise, this is a great end to the series. Really emphasizes the bond between Jason and Eve (and Fred). It makes me feel for them a lot more than I would've expected to when I played through the first game. Gameplay-wise, the game is alright. It does continue to build upon what the last two games did, but nothing amazing. The 2D tank sections are about the same. You once again find cool weapons and mobility options, but because the dimension hopping gimmick, the maps this time were a little too complex for me. Thankfully there is fast travel so any back-tracking is mitigated. The top-down shooter sections still continue to be fun, and they did rebalance the gun levels this time so that you will find use for more than one gun type. And thankfully, the music and aesthetics still continue to be good. None of the areas in the game felt particularly memorable, most of them are just large facilities on planet Sophia, with the exception of returning to planet Stranga (Hi again Kanna) near the later half of the game. I also noticed a lot of boss reuse in this game which I think is sorta lame. While the gameplay just didn't hit the same way BMZ2 did for me, this game and its story …

The game layout, shooting, treasure hunt, and adventure appeal are all definitely there. This game is better, considering I first played the original NES version of "Blaster Master" by Sunsoft when I was just 14 years old. Great Game! I would definitely recommend this game to beginners of all ages!
