MIGHTY GUNVOLT BURST

Imagine mega man if you could make your own weapons. That's MGB. Also, its definitely better than mighty no 9, which i don't even think is that bad tbh, but that just means this game is really good! The one flaw id say is that this is the mother of all power-trip games (think games that exist for you to barrel through and are easy on purpose but make you earn it, like mega man world 2 and post loop risk of rain) - in the sense that you can make weapons so powerful that the game balance gets annihilated, and it swiftly gets old. You need to choose to be creative to enjoy this game, and it can be hard to be creative sometimes, but you can absolutely put together something! Give your weapons fun names Mega Man-style for extra immersion - from my playthrough, the Lightning Saw and the Ice Rammer come to mind. Hell, use this to inspire your fangames!

Game does not display correctly in fullscreen mode. It has black bars like it's 4x3 but the game itself is 16x9 and gets cut off. Are we ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ serious with this ♥♥♥♥?

Tl;dr review - Very solid Megaman-esque game. Highly recommend it if you're into Megaman at all. Now, if you want a more in-depth review, feel free to keep reading. So, for starters, gotta' start off by saying that I think the game has very well done pixel art, a decent OST and tight controls all packed into one neat, little package. It may not be super long for a casual player who just wants to get a playthrough in and be done with it, but it does have a fair bit of content for players who want to dig a little deeper and see what all the game has to offer. It's also really neat that the game has 3 characters you can choose from right at the start and each one has their own unique style of play (There's also a lot of DLC characters too, but I didn't nab any of those, so I can't say much more about them). Each of the levels also feel pretty much perfect in length IMO; they don't drag on and wear out their welcome on repeat runs and they don't last just a couple of screens before it's boss time. Basically a new and great Mega Man game

The basic idea is that you get customization over how your Mega Man character plays. What shots they use, what kind of damage it does, how much damage they take, how much damage they deal, how the unique features of each character works, etc. If that sounds appealing to you, give it a shot.
