Kero Blaster

The jump is the worst part of this. Most of my trouble in the game came just from it, especially in hard mode. The final boss of hard mode is a marathon of multiple phases that restart if you die, and because of the jump, it's actually miserable.as it has instant death pits. Bosses can and will crush you. This is bad. But it's a generally fun game.

Absolutely love this game. Pink Hour and Pink Heaven were also great little prequels. Kero Blaster has the gameplay feel of Cave Story but is a much simpler and more light-hearted game. The Normal Mode was already a challenge but I will certainly try to continue to get the most out of this game. Hope there's more games in this universe eventually!

Node Buster? Not as engaging as I found Keep On Mining! to be. Hoping the third time was the charm, I delved into Quake to find it near-unplayable without Nostalgia glasses. Kero Blaster unfortunately did not end this streak. [h3][b]Nay:[/b][/h3] - Alt + Enter to fullscreen it caused a loop of “Graphics Reset: ERROR” prompts, requiring me to force-close it in steam. - Pause screen is preposterously X, or Square if you're on PS controls. - No audio options, so if it's too loud, you'll need to manually turn your system volume down. - You need to arbitrarily stop shooting to change fire directions. - Character handling was a bit odd to me. Pretty cute! Short, simple, and full of that Studio Pixel charm. Obviously no Cave Story, but it's nice to see that Pixel didn't stop game devving after that
