Nightmares Mansion: Scary Dreams

Fun and challenging puzzles with a spooky vibe. I finished 100% of the game in just under two hours, so it’s a great pick if you’re looking for a quick, indie horror experience to knock out in one sitting.

Going through my library to finally play games I either bought on sale for a buck or two, or picked up in game bundles etc... Honestly I thought this might be slop but it's actually a rather charmingly light horror game where you search for books in a haunted house. You can knock it out in 45 minutes or so and though the ending promises a continuation I don't see on steam, I didn't mind my time with this.

Simulator of a visit to relatives Anyone who is lucky enough to have a large family and a whole bunch of distant relatives knows that feeling of being lost when you and your parents arrive at your uncle or grandmother’s house which you have never been to before. At first you don’t want to go, but you agree to your parents’ persuasion because they promise that it will be fun. Then you endure a twelve-hour car ride. And finally you are there. In front of you, eight years old, is a huge Gothic mansion in a gloomy forest surrounded by an invisible wall. Parents instantly disappear with other adults and you find yourself in the company of your many cousins whom you see for the first time in your life. They all sit at the table and are just awkwardly silent. You can’t stand it and finally go to explore this frightening house built personally by your grandfather, it seems, back in the time of Louis XIV. You wander back and forth, playing games scattered throughout the house and talking to the birds. Now all we have to do is to add a little mysticism, zombies, meta-irony and pop culture references and you get a great description of the game “Nightmares Mansion: Scary Dreams”. Well, actu…
