Persona 5 Tactica

Loved P5. Loved P5 Strikers. After 21 hours of Tactica, I don't think I like it. The combat is not satisfying in the ways that P5 and Strikers are. The story is not satisfying in the ways that P5 and Strikers are. Unfortunately that leaves me fast forwarding banal dialogue, and looking forward to each level being over. Personas seem to be largely irrelevant. Bought on sale, and gave it time to hook me, but this fish swims away. Or something like that.

Horrible game. I can't even describe how bad it was.

I feel like Persona 5 Tactica is the most underrated game in the Persona 5 series. Even though it does not focus on the story of the Phantom Thieves that much, it still manages to give the original cast more characterisation. As a negative, I was able to predict most of the plot points, but this might be because the game was simply too short for the creators to make sudden plot twists. Also, for me, the challenges sometimes had too little room for creativity and were only able to be done in one exact way. I would give the game a [b] 9/10 [/], as I really enjoyed it, but you should be wary of the tactical combat system when considering purchase.

The worst persona game I have every played. Everything that is good about this franchise is non-existant here. The only positive I can give is the xcom like combat.

Persona 5 Tactica is a fun addition to the P5 franchinse, but as a tactics game, P5T falls short on what you expect. P5T weaves its self in the story a bit after Persona 5 Strikers, so maybe you can call it a continuation, but it sorta feels unimportant to the growth of our cast of phantom thieves. That being said, the story of P5T has its moments where the story can tug at your heart strings. P5T as a tactics game, falls short. The game feels less strategy and thinking, and more puzzle solver if you can imagine. The levels have enemies that are predetermined in type and position, so if you already know the map, you can easily figure out the best moves to make to finish the map quickly. This doesnt just apply to the main story missions, but to quests as well. I think a mode where youre thrown into random battles with random conditions would have been fun. The game keeps its SP skills , melee, and gun attacks as you are well familiar with if you played P5 of P5S, i think they do a great job in implementing the skills from P5 as well as the all out attack and one more. This is the coolest, best Persona game of all time, the story and themes are the best they've ever been. The music is great, the art is adorable, the gameplay is really fun and intriguing, I was hooked from the start and every time I thought the game was as good as it could get it kept getting better and better. I love how unapologetic the game is in it's themes, and I think the Persona series could stand to continue this.
