one time back in the day I was playing an earlier game in this series on a flash game website and it was cool and good until I used the screamer move then I instantly noped out and never played it ever since. now that I'm finally giving this game a chance, yeah I missed out on peak. I haven't played many turned based RPGs but this one slaps. great characters, gameplay, and references. you can play these games for free on flashpoint if you need to try before you buy. oh and also I heard a rumor once where if you touch natalie too much your save game gets deleted.

brings me nostalgia

its been good to play my childhood games, when i was a child i just could to play in some pirate website with a lot locked but now i can finish it and continue whenever i want.

EBF5 is a game made with lots of love and care. Despite looking simple on paper with a classical turn-based elemental system the nuance that exist in this game is extraordinary. Each character brings something unique to the table and i never felt like there was a point in the game where i ever didn't swap my party members around constantly to make the best out of a combat situation. encounters are also never easy. The regular encounters are not so complex that you burn through your entire mental reserves while not simple enough that you're just on complete auto pilot. EBF5 also has alot of customizability so that theres a difficulty setting for everyone. You're a veteran RPG fan and you want a challenge? will theres like 10 different modifiers for that to customize how you want to raise the challenge. You want a easier relaxing time? well slap on the modifiers that make the enemy weaker. The actual story and characters for the game are also quite charming. The game rarely takes itself too seriously with alot of fourth wall breaks and also just the characters bantering between each other. Great game. But keep in mind that it doesn't seem to run on modern hardware, at least for me.
