About MEMORIAPOLIS

✦ AI summary

MEMORIAPOLIS is a historical city builder where you guide your dynasty across five ages from Antiquity to the Industrial Revolution, placing buildings that grow organically into unique districts while managing resources and faction personalities to ultimately construct one of three iconic Wonders. What sets it apart is the freedom to engage at your own pace—no rigid grids or cycle limits—combined with distinct factions that won't all want the same thing, ensuring every playthrough looks completely different.

Memoriapolis is a historical city builder where your city grows across 5 ages from Antiquity to the Industrial Revolution.

Place the buildings. The city grows organically and districts expand. Manage resources, navigate faction demands, and guide your dynasty to its final goal : building one of three Industrial Revolution Wonders — the Eiffel Tower, Neuschwanstein Castle, or the Statue of Liberty.Relaxed or challenging : difficulty settings adjust objectives, faction pressure, and resource balance to match how you want to play.

Banners & Wonders is the biggest update to Memoriapolis since launch.

Factions now have personalities: Altruist, Warrior, Expansionist, and more. They don't all want the same thing, and they won't all negotiate the same way.Your dynasty's goal : reach the Industrial Revolution and build one of three final Wonders — the Eiffel Tower, Neuschwanstein Castle, or the Statue of Liberty. The city is more open than before. No more cycle limits. No more closed districts. New maps, Steam achievements, difficulty levels have also been added and more!At the heart of it all : the Dynastic House that grows with your city across every age.

Build your city across 5 ages

Memoriapolis spans five historical eras : Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, the Age of Enlightenment, and the Industrial Revolution. Each age transforms your city with new architecture, new challenges, new Monuments to unlock.

Watch your city grow organically

No rigid grid. Your city develops naturally, expanding through districts shaped by your choices and your citizens.  No two playthroughs look the same.

Build monuments from history

Construct iconic landmarks like the Library of Alexandria, Windsor Castle, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Palace of Versailles and more to give your city a unique identity through time.

Interact with factions

Factions have personalities — Altruist, Warrior, Expansionist, and more — and they have demands. You can accept proposals directly, negotiate terms, or choose to favor one faction over another. Engage as much or as little as the game calls for.

How is Memoriapolis different from other city builders?

Your city grows organically and you guide your dynasty across the ages. Factions add depth but you are free to engage with these systems at your own pace.

I played Memoriapolis before, what has changed?

Banners & Wonders is the biggest update since launch. Factions now have personalities, construction is more open, new maps have been added, and your dynasty now has a final goal : build one of three Industrial Era Wonders.

Is Memoriapolis easy?

Yes and no! Select your difficulty at the start of a run: resources, faction pressure, objectives and more… all vary depending on the level you choose.

Is Memoriapolis replayable?

Each playthrough is different thanks to different maps, different factions, different Wonder to build at the end. The organic growth of your city means no two runs look the same.

✦ AI summary

MEMORIAPOLIS has divided players significantly, with some praising it as a satisfying city builder with good pacing and organic district growth across five eras, while others feel the game lacks depth, plays more like a mobile experience with repetitive resource loops, and has reportedly become worse through recent changes that removed strategic elements like faction control and rebellion.

I bought this game very early on when there were only two eras. It is no longer the same game. Very different graphics, design, UI, you name it (all for the worse). Resource gathering, making laws, faction control and rebellion barely exist anymore. Even expansion is a given to you with little repercussion. You sit around more than anything. Back in the day this was a handsome game with various levels of strategy. Now? This is not the same game I played for years and I'm really upset coming back to it. I don't know what happened since late 2025 but it ruined what was a decent game. Do not buy whatever this joke is.

This review is in English and Slovak: Táto recenzia je v Anglickom a Slovenskom jazyku: I was really looking forward to buying this game. I really like building strategies and this one looks great thanks to its "map" view of the city. And that's where all the positives end. I hate to discredit someone's efforts, but this game is very poorly made. Basically, I could find a comment on almost every aspect of the game and I really don't want to write a book review or some suggestion for the game. To sum it up, if I resign myself to everything bad and surrender to the game and its rules, the game is still not playable and fun. No depth like in the description, nothing like that. It's such a big mobile game where I build something, collect resources, build again, then research and so on. After a short while, boredom and dislike come. The potential is there, but the entire game would have to be completely rebuilt from the core. In the state the game is in now, it cannot be recommended in any way. I'm sorry. Veľmi som sa tešil kúpe tejto hry. Mám veľmi rád budovateľské stratégie a táto vyzerá nádherne vďaka jej „mapovému“ zobrazeniu mesta. A tu sa končia všetky pozitíva. Nerád dehonestuj…

I wanted to like it but it feels more like a software and less like a game for some reason.

This is a very satisfying city builder with good gradual pace. A single city took me about 25 hours, spread out between the 5 different eras which each had their own new challenges. The learning curve is very friendly, you're introduced to a few resources and resource upgrades and a few new concepts at the start or end of each age. The diplomacy isn't super deep but there are sufficient different city needs, event decisions, faction needs, and external needs to keep you occupied. Seeing your city grow into places that were once what you considered wilderness, then those places becoming old-city themselves is very satisfying. One of the more unique things about this is the organic growth of city districts which produces interesting/unique city shapes and is honestly fun to react to as your city grows under its own direction. Good game, would recommend if you're looking for a longer city builder focused on the city and factions.
