About Stronghold HD (2012)
Build and defend your own medieval castle while commanding armies in real-time strategy battles across 21 story missions to reclaim England from four treacherous lords. Stronghold HD combines castle design with tactical warfare, letting you zoom out to see the entire battlefield, manage your economy, and crush enemies through siege tactics or cunning traps.

With 21 missions to test your mettle and four renegade lords to defeat, it is up to you to reunite medieval England and take back your lands from the treacherous Rat, Pig, Snake and Wolf. Missions range from breaking sieges and capturing enemy castles to raising gold and holding off enemy attacks. Easy to play for those that want to play a strategic game that guides you through a past life in the days of the crusades that keeps you involved in building your own kingdom from scratch. A lot of fun.
After 27 hours with Stronghold HD, I can confidently say that it still captures what made the original Stronghold games so memorable. Having played several previous titles in the Stronghold series, returning to this version felt both nostalgic and surprisingly enjoyable. The combination of castle building, resource management, defensive planning, and large-scale battles remains extremely satisfying. Designing a strong economy, keeping the population happy, and watching a carefully constructed castle survive an enemy siege is still one of the best experiences the series offers. The campaign missions provide a good mix of challenges, while the free-build and combat modes offer plenty of replay value. The HD presentation improves the experience without removing the classic visual style and atmosphere. The voice acting, music, unit dialogue, and medieval setting give the game a personality that many modern strategy games lack. Some parts of the interface and unit pathfinding can feel dated, especially when compared with newer strategy games. However, these issues rarely take away from the overall experience. Stronghold HD remains a highly entertaining castle-building strategy …
Classic.
Epic game :)
