not worth $4.99. it's crap! all the games are too difficult and glitchy and worst of all there are no save points in any of them. it's 2023. there should atleast be a way to save your place in games. capcom arcade has the save feature in games

I'm mostly in agreement with everything said by Brawlers Avenue, only playing Don't Mess With Rick. I would give graphics 5/5. I've played a lot of beat-'em-ups with not too many enemies, and I've never seen this many frames of animation before. The fluid enemy movement helps you know when it's safe to attack or when you should parry/roll. This translates to a more skill-oriented game that rewards good reflexes and anticipation. Tip for controller users: I had an issue where both jump and kick were bound to my Stadia controller's B key. This caused unpredictable behavior when I tried to jump, a mixture of jump kicks and jump dash. More importantly, it made the platforming sections impossible. Make sure your buttons all work when you start the game, because you can't rebind the keys in game. I fixed it by moving jump to a shoulder button. On downsides, I agree the roll mechanic is too sensitive. I accidentally did it in combat, often resulting in getting hit, and died to it many times in platforming. I would probably like the option to bind it to a key. Enemies interrupting your combos after fully parrying their combo seems unfair. Also, in my opinion, it's easy to get stunlocked …

Kinda silly collection of arcade games that are ok enough to have fun with. Also has more than the arcade games in it

This collection has some charm on the surface, but bad controls and clunky mechanics land this squarely in “you don’t need to play this” territory.

Everything in this game is a good idea in theory but I can't say I fully enjoyed anything in it. The idea that it's a demo for a larger game that you play to get credits for four smaller arcade titles is very smart, but that main game it's demoing really doesn't play all that well (though the backgrounds look really nice). The four arcade games are the star here though, so I hoped they'd be worth it and to be blunt I don't know if this was worth the dollar and change I paid. The best of the four is Peng Peng, a very Taito-esque single-screen action platformer with a lot of smart mechanics (carrying one ice block with you, each block freezing enemies in 8 directions around it) and a meaty number of levels with some decent minigames you can skip a few with. However, the oddly stiff jump and inconsistent collision on the platforms holds it back. It also has the best graphics of the four games with charming sprites and great animations. Heist of the Ninja is fairly short but is a decent example of a semi-modern stealth concept made into a single-screen retro arcade game.
