Waiting in the Lime forest

Short and sweet. The monochromatic pixel art-like presentation is lovely and the framing effects are surprisingly stylish. The story is all over the place but it's crazy, gay, and with a pinch of voodoo magic. Loved it!

[b]"i'll be waiting in the lime forest"[/b] 🖤🖤🖤 🟩 neat melancholic post ww1 setting 🔷 stylish presentation 🔴 just sorta undercooked especially story-wise [b]vibes:[/b] doomed [b]loops:[/b] more visual novel than point and click really [b]states:[/b] got two endings [b]ramblings:[/b] i liked the music, the limited pixel art style and the kinda old school adventure game vibes the presentation was going for. there's very little actual point and click puzzling going on though. the intro and first bit as this sort of period piece investigation mystery story is a little weak but ok, and then stuff starts just sort of happening? it abruptly introduces things like supernatural occult elements that the characters just inexplicably go along with. it ends up feeling like parts of the game and story were just missing. it's too rushed in addition to trying to incorporate multiple themes and concepts and nothing really is properly developed or adequately concluded. [b]verdicts:[/b] mixed. it's not very good, i don't know, it's real rough. it ends up unintentionally incoherent and poor as an actual story, but i liked the vibes it was going for enough that i can't hel…

i dont even know how i feel about this one, i liked some themes such as PTSD caused by war and the guilt of loving but some choices didnt make sense. i dont know if thats cause of the translation or if the game is meant to be like this. otherwise it was too short and not too bad.

For the price, you get what you paid for. The game is under an hour long, and the story is lackluster. There's not much content, but if you have some money to burn then try it.

The game is not bad it has a cool concept all though theres bugs and also feels like its rushed alot the art is cool i like the charathers design but the amount of movement templete for the charathers are so little and i feel like when something happened it looked like they dont gaf or the expressions were just being neutral/happy about it???

This was one of the strangest games I've ever played, although I did enjoy it! It's quite short and I completed it in an hour, I encountered a few bugs, but they were just slightly annoying. As for the story, I really like the themes and think Oliver as a character has a lot of potential, but I think he should be expanded on. I guess the fact that the game is unpolished gives away from the overall experience, but hey, If you're interested in post WW1 doomed yaoi it's worth trying out. (Just get it on sale, I got it for really cheap)
