What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Arms of God is a Doom-meets-Warhammer roguelike with a strong stat-building focus that players appreciate for its thematic design, but it suffers from repetitive, low-challenge gameplay where combat feels automated and brief compared to time spent in menus managing upgrades. Players are divided on its value, with some finding it fun and worth purchasing while others criticize the pacing, AI-generated assets, and lack of engagement during actual play, comparing it unfavorably to similar games like Vampire Survivors.
VERY WELL MADE GAME! DEUS VULT! GOD BLESS YOU BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN JESUS CHRIST ALL MIGHTY NAME! AMEN! ✠🛡️⚔️1 found this helpful
Solid enough for one run through all the acts currently available. There’s a strong Doom-meets-Warhammer vibe to it, and that combination works surprisingly well.1 found this helpful
Basically "what if vampire survivors was boring". I liked the stat building side of this game, however you spend more time doing that and reading upgrades descriptions rather than playing the game. And when you actually play it it lasts for like a minute or two while the game does absolutely everything for you and there is no challenge at all and then you're back to the menus. Just plain boring. Also huge AI-generated vibes all across the game, while it isn't mentioned in description. Even the transition between the rounds feels incredibly stupid and it's hard to believe a human made that and felt it was ok lol. I normally don't care about refunding games I didn't like but gonna refund this one, since this feels like AI slop. While at the same time the dev also claims to be a solo dev to garner sympathy (then in other places also says it's a 2 man team actually lol)
