Darling, Darling... Dead?

There's a creeping claustrophobia here. The art is shadowy; details and anyone outside of our main three characters fade into the dim background. And the eerie music draws you into it, perfectly setting the tone for this obsessive game. This is a story that grows with each replay-- not only does each new ending reveal new facets of the characters, but you can unlock different POVs and learn more about what is actually motivating things. (The keyhole scene is particularly great from each POV). The interplay between Levon and X and the ways they respond to our main character is delicious. I can't decide who I prefer. Each is compelling (and terrible) in their own way. At times, this game reminds me of Ebon Light (with the carefully limited player perspective, dark backgrounds, and hint of madness), though Darling, Darling... Dead? is a more concise and overall darker story. Pay attention to TWs, but I'd recommend this for anyone who wants a gothic otome. ETA: After 100%ing the game, I still wholeheartedly recommend it. Replaying to access some of the POVs you unlock can be a bit tedious, but you can skip your way through previously read text using ctrl.

definitely dark. it's not wrong to say it's yandere x yandere, and the design is very nice! more MC customization options would be nice, but it's short and cute and I'm glad I got it because I did enjoy playing it and reading the extra POV's, ahahaha

played the demo first awhile back and now bought the game !! the art is so pretty and i love the characters, its also not too long or too short to play <33

okay SO...after fully completing the game, and all of the POV'S, I have some thoughts... Firstly, the art, atmosphere, and overall premise is 11/10. while I do have some gripes, I would overall recommend this game. It was fun/captivating for the first few playthroughs, but it gets SO tedious unlocking the different POV'S and endings. I found it difficult to even care for the game after I had unlocked a few of the endings .I'm personally lukewarm to the plot, thought X as a whole (and how MC treats him) to be annoying , and found the rivalry/banter between X and levon to be drawn out at best. While this game isn't my favorite I think it's worth the playthrough (especially if you like submissive/subservient characters). it's not 100% my cup of tea but hey, different strokes for different folks.

for the price this game felt very short, i wouldve loved more content but overall its a nice little game. the art is beautiful and i love the personalities of the love interests, especially the fact that theres a cute love triangle ending!! the built in guide was super helpful and i did enjoy the variety of endings as well as the plot- i just wish it were longer.

This is advertised accurately, I'm not usually a fan of miscommunication trope but this is essentially that done well. In most cases the miscommunication was due to the unhinged nature of their yandere jealous minds, in other instances it was closer to a game of telephone. Safe to say it the miscommunication makes sense and adds value to the game. I really thoroughly enjoyed the POV changes you unlock as you play, it adds good context that would otherwise make the game less interesting if it wasn't included. I quite enjoyed figuring out why they each were driven to what they do through the POV's. My main complaint would be lack of character customization options. You are given many hairstyles but only one hair color (paper white) and three outfit choices. Due to the hair not being changeable the first skin tone option looks strange (also paper white) but there are other skin tones thankfully. And overall, I do in fact have two hands for a reason.
