✦ AI summary

DungeonSweeper is a minesweeper-style puzzle game with roguelike elements that divides players on its execution. Supporters praise the creative twist on the classic formula, the satisfying progression system, and the addictive gameplay loop with multiple enemy types and character options, though some note the difficulty curve and complexity eventually wear thin.

Dungeonsweeper is pretty much a remake of Dragonsweeper, which is an amazing classic. Unfortunately, I can't recommend Dungeonsweeper. 1- The overall experience feels very "done quickly using AI", without any real cohesive vision or polish. This is way too expensive for what it has to offer. 2- The roguelike aspect makes the experience worse. The beauty of Minesweeper, Dragonsweeper, and the whole puzzle genre, is the simplicity of it. Dungeonsweeper adds dozens of items and classes with a whole bunch of effects, the result is a mess that hides the elegance of the original concept. It's like the creators don't even understand what makes a good deduction/puzzle game in the first place. 3. This is a carbon copy of Dragonsweeper, and I'm afraid this was not made with the approval of the original creator. It's not clear from the product page.

Was looking for Dragonsweeper and this wasn't it. The UI feels bloated and in-my-face, I don't want to scroll to see what all the possible options are for tiles- just let me have a quick list at a glance.

A creative spin on the classic "minesweeper", this game is a complete upgrade, with XP and health along with different classes and challenges to make the game a lot more fun. I found each dungeon to be more addicting than the previous, using reason and logic to uncover the tiles without setting off a bomb or being slain by one of the various dungeon creatures. The interface is fun and simple and I found it easy to get carried away for hours at a time.

Cool twist on Minesweeper. It has several unique units you have to track down and systematically kill to level up and progress each of 5 levels. Each level adds new and more complex enemy types. Also if you make a mistake and die minesweeper classic style, you get infinite continues on that same level thankfully.

A nice chill game with a fun spin on minesweeper by including rpg mechanics. Easy to play for hours, whether you want to turn your brain off or get really into it. UI implementation is the only real issue I could find as its a bit unfriendly to players, but its not bad enough that you cant just ignore it most if the time. The gameplay is really addicting and has a lot more depth than I expected. I highly recomend the demo to give it a go - its the surefire way to know if its for you. Recent updates and fixes make me hopeful that some of the remaining clunkiness can be gradually patched out. No regrets.

It’s fun at first but I stopped playing after 4 hours, the characters you unlock only make the game easier which isn’t very interesting…
