About Stardust Escape

Survive 15 minutes of pure neon chaos in this fast-paced top-down shooter.Blast geometric enemy swarms, complete ridiculous space-station quests, and upgrade your ship with absurd weapons like plasma rockets, splitter beams, and ricocheting crystal shards.Drawing inspiration from classic arcade shooters, survivor-style arena games, and a splash of retro sci-fi cartoons, Stardust Escape combines intense action with quirky charm and a healthy disrespect for seriousness.
  • Survival runs filled with escalating chaos, in 4 different difficulties
  • Fast-paced, twin-stick shooting with smooth movement and crunchy impacts
  • Wild weapons like twin laser beams, plasma splats, and shrapnel-exploding crystals
  • Goofy quest system featuring missing coffee machines, unstable science, and space diners
  • Collect gold to level up and unlock new upgrades
  • Vibrant neon visuals with a hand-drawn Jetsons-style aesthetic
  • Endlessly replayable with different builds, weapon combos, and enemy waves
  • Test your skills against the leaderboard, one for each difficulty setting

Okay, I initially gave this game a negative review because it seemed to be stuttering and lagging a lot on a pretty recently built gaming PC. But I completely logged out of Steam, relogged back into Steam and uninstalled the game and then reinstalled this game. No more issues at all, YAY! And I say "Yay" because this game is actually really well made and offered concise and crisp movement. The enemies are plentiful and challenging right from the get-go on "normal" difficulty and I absolutely LOVE all of the roguelike upgrades you can make. This game seems to be well worth your money if you like these kindof retro action space shooters. I do, and this game seems to definitely be a gem. I will be back once I've had more time in the game, but I needed to change this review to a "thumbs up" after being able to resolve the issues I was having., RECOMMENDED!! - Great Bang for Your Dollar Right Here People!!

It has a quick to pick up and easy to fall into loop that's "just one more run," which I appreciate. It feels light and responsive, and it never drags. The visuals stood out to me as well. There’s a nice, clean style to everything, and it all comes together in a way that just feels good to look at while playing. Overall, I enjoyed it. It’s simple, fun, and does what it needs to without overcomplicating things.
