How Much for the Body in the Freezer

I played two games by this company, only to realise they are both AI. The dialoge is written strange and there is like an em dash every three sentences.

using AI for a VN is the saddest thing I have seen. god I thought it would be a short 2 hour story made by an human with his own designs,music and story.

When you use AI for your visual novel, you basically accept that the only things that are worth of rating is pure text. I accidentally bought it not knowing that, but still decided to give it a try assuming that maybe the story could save it. But not really. The vocab and dialogues (at least to me) felt very dull and boring, the story itself while presents an interesting idea doesn't spin it in some actually interesting way. It's basically "Ahhh it's at risk of being opened ahhh!!!!" for multiple chapters with some attempt to be philosophical at the end by introducing such a bare bone metaphor it was straight up painful when I figured it out. Not that you can't make a story with such moral or something, but the realization is REALLY banal. It's forgettable as hell too. There is a point that some reviews make that this game potentially is entirely ai gen and... I kind of came to the conclusion they could be right.

The art and UI design choices in this game are amazing and very eye-catching which brought me to this game, but sadly the story itself brings little to nothing out of it. Its overuse of imagery and its need to meticulously describe insignificant details makes the writing feel disingenuous and trying too hard to appear profound to the point where it makes the world around the main topics of the story feel uninteresting. Additionally, It contains plenty of inconsistencies with what's going on in the story to the point where you would wonder if the creator proofread their work or not. I unfortunately can't give the creator much slack with this work as its already so short, making the flaws even more apparent. TL;DR the art is great but the writing, worldbuilding, and story are not... at all.

"How much for the Body in the Freezer". Definitely a title to peek your interest i suppose. for 2 dollars, sure. Art is AI generated and refined at the end step. Music made with the help of AI. Story itself seem to be manually written by a human. Short read with some relatability with the mundaness of typical life and just getting by. I would have liked it if the english langauge settings was left justified, but the japanese people read right justified. Saving also seems to start you at the beginning of the chapter and not where you left off. It is what it is for an ultra-low budget indie title.

This is one of the most RAW experiences I've ever had amongst all the games I played. I don't care how much AI was involved in creating this (If it was heavily, ts gotta be the AI version of Shakespeare no less), guess developers were able to proof that you can create an actual Gem and eye-candy even if you use the big scary abbreviation. Whatever themes and things you are into or not, I personally heavily suggest you give it a try. It's short, cheap and genuinely impressive.
