STORY
//TOKYO, IN THE NEAR FUTURE: Whispers and rumors are spreading through the city like wildfire. Murmurings of a bizarre website have started to pique the interest of more than a few people—people willing to take extreme risks in order to fulfill their darkest desires.
Corpse Girl's Website supposedly allows users to request the death of someone they know. All that is required is a photo of the proposed victim. Once an image is uploaded, the website promises to snuff out the victim's soul within a matter of days.
Victims of the website apparently receive a photograph of their own corpse before they are killed. Photos are time stamped with a date... Perhaps a predicted time of death? The website's authenticity is questionable at best. It has become an interesting topic of conversation and nothing more.
And yet... When people start dying in odd ways across the city, the website instantly returns to the limelight. All of the recent victims were found in possession of strange photos—photos of their own corpses, received only hours before they died...

Gotta catch 'em all! (mental disorders edition) I enjoyed the story a good amt, even though I found several points in the plot and the 'twists' to be contrived. I found a similar enjoyment as Death Note but way gorier and less cerebral but with all the megalomania and narcissism. The main thing that was taking me out of the story was how obvious they were with their crimes like they were stealing and moving dozens of bodies, going to their crime scenes, murdering groups of people and no one was ever caught. Putting aside the contrivances it was a fun story!! Girlies please just go to therapy, take your meds, and be gay...
Not the biggest VN fan, thoroughly enjoyed this one. It's dark and macabre, and leans heavily into trauma. There's part that are a little silly in a B grade type of way, but I dont think it takes from the overall dark charm, along with the good VA ( I was bummed it was english only, but the VA's did it really well) made it a very enjoyable experience. I got it on sale and I think that helped me enjoy the value of it.
SUCH a hidden gem. iirc i've had it since it came out and it's been a game that's always stuck with me. i love the characters and the writing so insanely much. i wish more people would find out about this game. i even remember joining the discord server i think 2(?) years ago, and the dev studio were so nice. love it
Never had such a genuinely visceral and deeply physical reaction to a game like I have with this one and as of writing this I've only just finished Act 2, which is why I'm writing this in the first place. Good visual novel, if you're squeamish or good at putting yourself in the shoes of your current character... Good Luck
listen to some the soundtrack to this day. Didn't entirely understand the ending but really enjoyed
