Vanaris Tactics

This is terrible. It feels like an early draft of Final Fantasy Tactics if it was on Atari. The dialogue is hideous too. Thumbs way down.

its.... fine. its crazy short which normally id use as a selling point but it feels like your dropped into the end of a grand poloticial tale. a lot of story and cutscene lacks full context and doesnt establish even the location that scenes are happening in other than "this is a roof, this is a dungeon this is some werid secret curch or something???" the gameplay is very reminesant of final fantasy tatcits advanced but every chacrter has an extermly limited set of weapons and skills and the diffuclty of the last missions is fighting agaisnt enemies several levels higher than you that can hela and protecting an uncontrabale npc that tries to get themselves killed to just immedaitly disapper from gameplay and story. but it looks real nice and sounds real good but there just so much poteinal here thats not touched but its not bad just.... disappionting

It's short, but a solid game. The field control is a little bit cumbersome.

Morgana is an absolute unit. Speedy unit is OP. Hope you who read this review had fun just like I have fun with the game.

This is a pretty good TRPG, although it is quite short (about 4 hours of gameplay to finish my first playthrough). Overall I think this game is good, but I have to give notes. What I liked: - I really enjoyed the gameplay. The level layouts, character skills, and equipment are fun to play around with. Game isn't particularly hard, but that's not a problem. - Art is appealing. It is heavily inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics, and the spritework captures the GBA and SNES Era aesthetic well. - I enjoyed the lore and themes of the work, focusing on themes of oppression and identity through the lens of a minority. - Plays well on a controller, feels intuitive. What can be improved: - Gameplay-wise: Quality of life can be improved. I completed a run of the game and expected a way to revisit previous paths, but was a bit disappointed to not find any. Another example is the lack of a way to access a pause menu to exit. - Writing can be a bit clunky at times and pacing can be improved. Overall good but can be polished.
