This plays more like a puzzle game than a strategy game.

ok, first up don't look at that hour count. There was a discrepancy from Steam Deck and the PC (I played it all on Steam Deck) and it cut the hour count to match the PC. I finished the game around 7-8 hours. Reverie Knights Tactics is a strategy RPG from 40 Giants Entertainment, from what I can tell this is their first outing. This game is fairly short by srpg standards, but I actually think that helps them in this case. But I’ll get to that. Technically, it runs perfectly fine. No problems whatsoever. I ran the game completely on steam deck and no issues, except for Steam Deck not accurately showing my hours played. I don’t know what that crap is, but it’s annoying. Otherwise, this game isn’t super demanding and it shows in the technical performance. The visuals are a highlight of the game I think, the colors are incredibly vibrant, the backdrop cities or forests are gorgeous. The characters are definitely not my favorite style, but they’re still well done. The animations are a little unique and different, some of them are really cool and others are kind of awkward, but overall I thought the visuals were outstanding. Story wise, it was interesting. Basic idea is that you are …

I enjoyed this game a lot. It is a relatively short tactical puzzle RPG just under 10 hours long even if you chat with every NPC and do not miss fights. There is a simple alignment system (Order/Chaos) based on your dilogue decisions that affects your skill choice and which of the 2 endings you get. To be clear there are no good or bad endings, they are just different. Th artstyle is very pleasant with vibrant colors and smooth drawn animations. The worldbuilding is honestly great for such a small game, after finishing it I wanted to learn more about this world and play more games in it. But thats where the sad part comes in - the devs have been silent for the last few years so it is highly unlikely we are getting any sequel. The only 2 negatives I can say about this game is uneven difficulty curve with sudden spikes and some overemotional dialogues that do not really fit the mood. This game is well worth curent price and I will be happy if we get more games in this universe as it clearly is made with love and attention.

Huge fan of Fell Seal. Had a hard time even listening to the bubble popping sound effect. Just not what I was looking for. I am likley not the target audience and it didn't do much for me. I couldn't get through the second combat . I won't say its a bad game because I clearly didn't get far enough. Another instance of steam needing a third option than pass or fail. This is a pass for those looking for this 'style' of game. I don't like the asthetics. I had kickstarted Massive Challice years ago and it cosdt me 60 bucks. I downright hated the end product and should have done more research on DoubleFine games. But the pitch for the game was good. Hopefully this finds the audience it deserves. It feels like thier is love for the game but It wasn't my cup of tea, reminded me of an 11 year old girls version of describing what the banner saga was like. My grand daughter might like this.

16h in one sitting overnight isn't the recommened way to play, but i wouldn't do that again I don't know where is left or right so I'll post random thoughts and notes I took and pretend it's a review Important things are: - It's not about going on a crusade against goblins because you can't stand them and they are evil, it's about gathering knowledge and trying to steal some old evlish tomes now that elves are not using them (elves are actually portrayed in a bad way and everyone thinks they got what they deserved) - All characters are annoying, but so are your friends, learn to live with it (also it's based on Brazilian ttrpg and book/comic series or w/e it was, but made in Brazil explains a lot) - trpgs are like puzzles, they alway were, tf are you doing, looking for racing games and not two ways to solve the encounter optimaly without losing hp? That's what those games are for There are some illogical things like Hellaron giving Aurora a call on their transatlantic mind link just to tell her he will teleport to her so the story can continue at a reasonable pace, which isn't a big deal, but come on Holgor battle is one of the more bs ones with the spells that both casters have…

I got it for super cheap, under 2 bucks I think so consider that. It reminds me of some pay for play Asian MMORPGs I played in college. The art style feels dated in a good way, it just kind of reminds me of a ton of time wasting type games I played with friends years ago. If you like tactics type games and don't throw a hissy fit about female mains then it's worth throwing some hours at. For 3 bucks and under it's a good buy. I will probably finish it eventually. Looks like a phone game, wish I could play it on my phone now that I said that. Why am I still talking? Why did you answer me? Weirdo.
