The game brings itself back up upon reaching the main menu if I send it down during launch. If an app is sent to background for whatever reason, it's supposed to stay there and not demand attention unless it has a very good reason to. This was absolutely disrespectful. Uninstalled.

5/10 game. Not that good, RNG dependent and not that fun RNG.

really rocky start with this one: not thrilled when i have to change the resolution on my monitor just to play a game that allegedly supports UWHD. not thrilled when i have to restart an entire chapter (which consists of multiple levels) when i die during the boss fight. not thrilled that i HAVE to spend money to repair the hovercraft to proceed but because of the exorbitant costs, i never have enough to upgrade the hovercraft without replaying chapters. tedious. suggested fixes: 1. either don't advertise UWHD support within the resolution settings or make DAMN sure that it works 2. reset the LEVEL upon death not the CHAPTER - the replayability factor isn't high enough for that. 3. half the cost of the upgrades. Luckily, i purchased this game at a DEEP discount and i appreciate what the devs are trying to do (the concept and pixel aesthetic reminds me a bit of THEY ARE BILLIONS) and so i stuck it out. Much to my delight, there seems to be a pretty awesome game underneath the hopefully-soon-to-be-discarded shavings and excess jank of early-access. All of that being said, my criticisms are more nitpickings and there will be many who will absolutely enjoy the experience i…

If you love action roguelites like Vampire Survivors or Brotato, but want something with unique mechanics, SCAD is a breath of fresh air. Instead of the usual fantasy heroes, you pilot a highly customizable hovercraft to crush massive zombie hordes. • Hovercraft Mechanics: Driving and drifting around enemies feels extremely smooth and dynamic. • The Loop (Salvage, Craft, Destroy): The upgrading system during expeditions keeps the gameplay loop highly addictive. • Gorgeous Pixel Art: The post-apocalyptic isometric world looks beautiful and full of detail with plenty of weapon variety and intense boss fights.

Enjoyed the concept of the game and looking forward to seeing how things progress forward! Certainly janky and is not nearly close to perfect. If you like being part of the Early Release cycle and dig roguelike/bullet hell style games, get on it. Otherwise, wait a little longer for more updates.
