✦ AI summary

Tears of Metal is a Scottish-themed roguelite that combines Dynasty Warriors-style combat with rogue mechanics, and players largely praise its satisfying core gameplay loop and character progression system. The main criticisms center on balance issues introduced post-beta, with some players finding enemy difficulty spikes frustrating relative to their own damage output, while others struggle with visual clarity during intense on-screen action. Most reviewers feel the game is worth purchasing, with at least one recommending it especially when on sale.

im not one for fancy wording i know what i like about a game and what i dont. i DO want to like this game. back in beta the balance was alot better it felt like as you leveled your attacks carried wait. made me feel like i was back on the couch playing co op dynasty warriors with my brother...now it just feels like everything else...it difficult cause no one can have "fun" being "over powered" no more. and just really leaves the game lacking... at points there is so much going on in the screen i cant tell if i need to block dodge or swing.. then on top of that the enemies just hit WAY to hard. for how little you do. so it needs work. devs if you read this, dont fall pray to the "dark souls" crowd EVERYTHING needs to feel like im about to have a siezure at any ammount cause so much is happening...just make a fun game.

Was worried because of the reviews but pleasantly surprised, great game. Good loop and pacing, after 1 6 hour session I've unlocked a second character, a companion, and leveled up my army and 2 characters a bit.

GG!!

This game is great. I get that it's early access and there are things that need to be added blah blah blah. It's fun. If you're on the fence about whether or not you want it and the other reviews aren't helping, I get it. I was also on the fence. Once I said ♥♥♥♥ it and downloaded, I was surprised I even second guessed it. Coming from other warriors type games like hyrule warriors and other types, this game is pretty fun and of the same variety. So if you like that, just get it. Especially during a sale, without question. Worth it.
