Super solid foundation - could use more meat on the bones, sure, but the game is still a lot of fun to play with friends - and comes with a generous friends pass to allow this, too! Great vibes, and developer seems active and eager to improve on the Discord, so I'm leaving a definite recommend for the price tag.

If you are looking for Solo, look elsewhere. This game has the depth of a rain puddle, but even less for the single player. You make VERY few choices int he course of the game, outside of "left or right". Combat is a dice roll, you either win of die to RNG. Also there's a giant spider. And a HellNado. Both of which are giant RNG rolling across the board! Yeah that sh*t got old in the 2000s. I like the idea, and the art style sells the whole vibe, too bad the gameplay only sits there like a dead fish. Limited "boards" too, but as I struggled to stay awake for one, I cannot imagine going through it again. I'm not even going to refund and hope the devs put my $15 into coming up with some gameplay.

I fully enjoy this game. I feel it's a bit bare bones at the moment when it comes to content. They are adding more and I can't wait. However, I think the achievements are currently bugged cuz I don't have any.

I've been having a blast playing Board Game Society with my group and really feel like the game has a ton of potential. The monster and board designs are awesome and I can't wait to play the new boards that come out soon! The addition of new abilities and cards is keeping things fresh and exciting. At this price point and with the friends-pass feature, this game is a no-brainer for a fun party game with friends!

I like the idea and the presentation of this game. What I don't like is: * spending more than an hour on a run only to get soft-locked right before fighting the boss * How combat focuses on just rolling 2 six-sided dice and the dice unlocks are purely cosmetic * Linear strategies i.e. to defeat boss you need to get 2 chainsaws. Full stop. * wheel of fate has a lot of different icons but it will only land on spider, tornado or cards. Seems not random and also a bait-and-switch. * lack of interesting encounters. Everything is either empty, enemy, teleporter, heal, or chest. Chests only ever have runes or crowns. * Lack of differentiation of character choices. Basically they just get different amounts of weak or strong variants of damage/move/heal cards. No character-specific items or abilities * No meta progression (at least not that I found, since I got soft-locked out of boss) * No tutorial Great idea, poor (or at least incomplete) execution.

While it has potential, it needs something to counterbalance the randomness. Sometimes it takes too long to get started when multiple high level bad guys are encountered. A special ability per character or a buy phase at the start would help balance out the randomness.
