About Boardlike

Classic tabletop games meet roguelite elements and card-based combat. Dice rolls, fate cards,
deadly encounters, minigames, and countless unknowns await you in this strange adventure. You never know what awaits as you roll the dice and move across the board.
Collect powerful cards, gather loot, and face fierce enemies to grow your character.
Survive eight dangerous regions and reach the end of the world.

Breed your heroes. Build your legacy. Face the end of the world again and again.

In this roguelike tabletop adventure, every run begins with the birth of a new hero.
Use your limited breeding rights to select two parents, combine their traits,
and create a new warrior. Your hero’s stats, gender, and genetic traits are shaped by
the legacy of their bloodline.

The path ahead is full of thorns.

Face strange events, battle bizarre enemies, and decide whether to return home with your loot
or risk one more turn for greater rewards.
Each hero ventures through eight dangerous regions,
each with its own atmosphere, enemies, and turn-based, randomly generated board.
Roll the dice to move through traps, treasures, encounters, and deadly foes.

A true hero knows when to retreat.

If your hero returns to the village before dying, they are added to the ancestral pool.
That means your next hero could be their child… or grandchild. And each generation is born a little stronger.

Genetics matter but nothing beats hard work.

Construct buildings like the Barracks, Tavern, Gold Mine, or Ink Mine to unlock background
bonuses for your newborns.
Growing up in these places grants them special starting advantages.

Evolve your legacy across generations, and move one step closer to victory with every run.

Will you strengthen your bloodline and reach the ancient power at the edge of the world?
Or will your Seeds of Life vanish… one by one?

Was a good game at the start but get's very boring when you have a stacked up character and have to spend quite a while going through the first few levels over and over again constantly clicking away (always better to have some keyboard short cuts). there are far too many glitches such as your cards disappearing on a reload (also an insta-kill card said it's with 2 action points when winning it but in the deck it said 7), the game sometimes not counting your upgrades when levelling up, you losing your locked in parents in a breeding ceremony after loading a game out and completing a run, also when returning with a character you've buffed after leaving a run, they do not appear in the character list in the breeding ceremony. This is the character you are using that has not died whose stats you can see, but they aren't in the breeding ceremony. When loading a game out and starting a run, your selected add-on perk won't be active even though you had set it up when breeding the character. Also the alternative options get limited after a while as you don't have much after your legacy, nothing else in the home page and the add-on selective perk becomes redundant after a few hours and n…

Breed. Adventure. Roll. Level up. Escape. Breed. Repeat.

the gameplay loop gets repetitive very quickly. if you die its gg prepare to grind and spam click dice roll. Good idea with the breeding but poor execution. Needs a rework entirely.

Game has lots of potential, but is currently not in a very enjoyable state. It is incredibly hard to get very far unless you build a defense based deck, and focus on the defense and hp stats. MAYBE once you make several successful runs, get the right family breeding pool, and breed a character that starts with high hp and defense, then you could work on upping another stat. Once you unlock a card, you basically have it forever, and you have access to all your cards at any moment, and can change your deck up at any moment. I would prefer your deck to be more limited, and you get those kinds of upgrades and more unique ways to play throughout your run. As it stands, the only really roguelike elements you might run into being the roll of the dice in where you land on the board, and the random items you obtain all the way. Those items effect a variety of stats, but they feel nearly worthless, and incredibly boring. I honestly stopped even looking at what I picked up because my defense stat was so high I could basically go on for a long time, unless I just chose to head back so I could have a better character for the family breeding pool. I can not currently recommend it in its current …

This is such a unique, one-of-a-kind game which blends so many genres together and does it very very well. While in its early state it is easy to use a defense strategy to absolutely break the first few regions of the game, by the fourth/fifth region, the old and previously game-breaking strategies don't work as well and you need to think on your feet to modify your deck (and monetary position) to try and survive. Super fun, feels replayable, has a large metaprogression tree and you can really feel the effects of the meta-progression (especially the Ink Mine). What's not to love? A big bonus is that it also has a very responsive developer who really takes their players' thoughts into account.
