Big ups for trying something different with the rpgmaker engine but the game itself sucks. The platforming part is janky so is the combat and the movement, it's like the protagonist is running on ice, that's especially frustrating when you have to land on small grass cubes. 10 euro full price is insane for this, it's not worth a single cent.22 found this helpful
Another low quality game on RPG maker, but the developer was quite bold trying to make a platformer on this engine. But the developer failed, its too bad to play it6 found this helpful
There's so many issues with this game, but I can't get over the fact that I've never seen anything like this. I've played with RPG maker for a little bit and doing a platformer like this has never crossed my mind before. I would say, keep a RPGMaker file editor nearby if you get softlocked or the game is too difficult. I did get softlocked in one of my runs and decided to cheat and refill my health to get back my save file for example. After doing about 5 runs though (more like 17~ if you include going back to the start of a zone since exits are janky and you can easily reach the end of a zone and exist back to the begining of multiple screens) At the end of the day though, I'm still impressed and went for all endings + shards eventually. The game is short, the controls are janky, but it's an experience I've not had before.5 found this helpful
The best things I can say about it are that it's unique for an rpg maker game, and it's still better than Top Banana. - Slippery platforming - Horrible fall damage system - Atrocious hit detection due to being made in rpg maker instead of any other engine - Poor writing - 1 goofy music track that plays on repeat for most of the game - Even with the engine jank this could've been a decent game if the level design was good, but progression is way too repetitive, forcing you to go through the same rooms over and over again to drag out the already short runtime - Overpriced even if you're curious how bad it is and get it for 75% off Don't.1 found this helpful

1/2 Red Riding Hood from DIG Games is an indie 2D action platformer that reimagines the familiar fairy tale through a darker and more fragmented lens. Instead of following the traditional story, it places players in a distorted forest setting where the protagonist navigates a world that feels unstable, hostile, and only loosely tied to its source material. The concept suggests a blend of exploration, combat, and psychological storytelling, aiming to create something that stands apart from straightforward platformers. While the foundation is interesting, the overall experience feels uneven, as its ideas are only partially realized. The gameplay combines side-scrolling platforming with light combat and occasional projectile-heavy encounters. Players move through interconnected areas, encountering enemies, environmental hazards, and basic traversal challenges. There is an attempt to layer mechanics such as dodging, attacking, and interacting with the environment, but these systems remain fairly simple throughout. While the game hints at greater complexity, it rarely expands beyond its initial ideas, leading to a loop that feels repetitive once the core mechanics are understood. Move…
