Story
“The 1am Operator”“If you call 001 at 1am, you will be connected to the 1am operator, who will connect you to the past.”Asahi tries out this urban legend in the hope of fulfilling a certain wish. Thinking it was just a made-up story, he is surprised to find that it really does work. The woman who answers the phone, calling herself the operator, tells him that she can connect him to calls that for some reason or other have not been delivered. Asahi calls the phone, hoping to fulfill his own wish. However, the people he calls have various regrets...A story about making phone calls and connecting people
You can dial numbers just like on a real smartphone. The operator at 1am can only make calls to numbers between 001 and 099. Try calling anywhere first. Someone may be able to tell you the number you should call. There is sure to be someone's regret waiting for you at the end of the line.■Features

Take notes!!/メモとれよ！！ Seriously, it'll help out. I loved my time with this game, very cool concept of gathering information and clues from both the present and the past to help save lives when possible or at the least to let those who are left behind gain some peace and acceptance. The game is nearly all reading, as the only screen is the main girl as you call 100 phone numbers, so keep that in mind. The music's pretty limited as well, so you'll be hearing the main track a lot. This didn't bother me much as it's a quiet mood-setting background track, but some people might find it repetitive. I tried playing without notes at first, but got lost as to who I did and didn't call already, especially between play sessions. A ways in, I started a text document with all 100 numbers listed with two columns for present and future. By the end, I hit 4 pages of notes, which was probably excessive, but I was having a great time. The game took me about 10 hours, but it would have been shorter if I started taking notes earlier. Also Japanese isn't my native language, so that may have slowed me down a bit too. The ending mystery with all the variables was super cool, highly recommend this …2 found this helpful
Phoning random people at 1am felt awkward at first, but before long I got into the flow and dialed dozens of numbers in rapid succession like a total maniac. Strangely enough, few people seemed particularly annoyed by my calls: instead, they seemed relieved to hear a voice they could vent their life problems to. This game does a great deal with few art assets, turning its limitations into strengths. The only character onscreen is the titular "1am operator", gently breathing with a neutral expression against a dark, ruined backdrop. The only UI is a feature phone whose clock stays forever fixed at 1:00. And the only voice acting is when she politely recites a standard message (like "the number you have dialed is no longer in service"). Among other things, this restraint means that when the slightest change does happen onscreen, it feels momentous. And behind the phone numbers is a cast of a dozen major characters and countless extras, all existing purely as text on the bottom of the screen. Typically they aren't given names, but they have their own tragedies, social networks and family trees that I noted in a text file as I played. A lonely world full of wounded people desp…
