Players criticize this jigsaw puzzle game as part of 8floor's repetitive, copy-paste series that reuses the same mechanics across 200+ nearly identical titles while lifting images from various stock sites without proper crediting or permissions. However, those who focus on gameplay appreciate the customization options for puzzle difficulty, the large number of included puzzles with decent variety, and the functional mechanics, though some note the looping music can become annoying and piece snapping could be more forgiving.
This publisher 8floor managed to arranged 1 card game and then copy-paste it with different sfx, wallpapers and made 200+ games.6 found this helpful
"1001 Jigsaw. World Tour: London" is a basic browser/Flash/mobile-app like jigsaw puzzle game. Solve various jigsaw puzzles made up from images that the "developer" stole off the Internet and used without crediting the actual creators, making this plagiarism, as well as an asset flip and a cash grab. An example of the stolen, uncredited/plagiarised artwork is "William Shakespeare In Period Clothing", stolen and used without any apparent permissions or rights from the photographer, "Canva PTY LTD" via Alamy. Sure, the image rights may allow some stock images to be used without credit (although there's no reason to believe so in this case), and claiming credit for the work of others, as is happening here, is unethical, and the creative and intellectual bankruptcy going on here is unacceptable. So what we have here is a basic jigsaw puzzle engine that's been skinned with a bunch of photos stolen off the internet and used without attribution. The icing on the cake is the "developer" here has copy + pasted + reskinned this same asset onto Steam a lot.…3 found this helpful
Have to agree with the original reviewer. Most of this publisher's puzzle sets are pretty good. They do sometimes reuse music from set to set (this shares music with at least the America set) and a few of the included photos are odd. Yes, I suppose you could see University grads in London, but it's not a thing tourists would usually be looking for. Overall, it includes all the bells and whistles I like. Puzzles can be made to have more or less pieces, you're free to have a ghost image under the puzzle or the photo itself. That can even be resized. Magnifying glass, and pieces can lock down. Sparkles on the cursor, 500 puzzles with a nice mix of animals, scenery and food along with a scattering of other things. Some photos are quite pretty, some seem a little bit like filler, but you should find quite a few you like.I'd say pick it up on sale and realize it is London and has a lot of highlights of the city, but if you were thinking of specific stores or musicals it won't include that. Though, to be fair, there are plenty of corgis and cats.2 found this helpful
I'm playing Steam Games in alphabetical order and you can watch my review here: https://youtu.be/cYU4960afKg Prefer to read? This is one of 52 games in 8floor's "1001 Jigsaw" series that are basically a copy/pasted slop fest. Every game is nigh identical, with the only difference being the images used to create the jigsaw puzzles, all of which have been lifted without crediting the artists from various sites such as rgbstock, Unsplash and even Shutterstock. While technically not illegal, it's incredibly inconsiderate considering that these "games" wouldn't be anything without the images these artists provide. From a technical standpoint the game meets the absolute basics in terms of UI and mechanics. The looping music will make you irritated rather than relaxed, but the most frustrating element is that the cursor is misaligned in almost every game, resulting in numerous misclicks. I was also immensely disappointed by the lack of a single jigsaw puzzle with 1001 pieces in ANY of these games. Most importantly though, they recently INCREASED the price of many of their games, to nearly triple the original price. Because they feel comfortable selling a copy/pasted game, they'll be rec…1 found this helpful
++ Lot of customization, number of pieces, regularity of pieces, rotated pieces ++ Clasical pieces ++ Nice and lot of pictures -? Probably bit better snapping, i mean some option to make it easier, piece must be placed quite precisely. Just small thing on that puzzle serie beauty.
