Warning: Asset Flip! 3D PUZZLE - Courtyard is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers.
Two notable criteria for what makes an asset flip instead of legitimate use of stock assets are whether those assets comprise the majority of the game, and whether the "developer" properly credited the people who created most of the assets in the game. This game fails both of those tests. The "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. In this case, the Russian asset flipper took a bunch of generic Unity assets and dumped them on a simple first person object arrangement template. It's simplistic and shallow... just another cash grab with a money laundering price tag and a bunch of fake/paid reviews from the Russian review farm. It has no value or merit as a real game. Based on the game's description, '3D PUZZLE - Courtyard' is a 3D puzzle game where you arrange objects in the right places to create a visually appealing courtyard. The game features an original soundtrack, a hint system, 20 objects that need to be correctly placed, and 6 Steam achievements. Let's start with the positive aspects. Completing the game and unlocking all achievements took me around 3 minutes, making it feasible to finish everything in a single sitting. While the game only has one ending and lacks a save feature, the straightforward instructions and hint system (which shows where to place each item) make it accessible to players of all skill levels. As a result, I gave it a low difficulty rating of 1/10. Compared to '3D PUZZLE - Alchemist House' from the same series, this game has fewer bugs. Interestingly, it is priced the same, at 194.99 euros, as the previously mentioned game, and this was the second time I played a game at such a high price. Now, moving on to the negative aspects. Unfortunately, this game falls short in almost every area. The concept of arranging objects to create a beautiful courtyard sounds promising, but the gameplay is incredib…3 found this helpful
3D PUZZLE - Courtyard is a quiet, minimalist puzzle experience designed around calm observation and spatial reasoning rather than pressure or complexity. Developed by PUZZLE Games and published by Hede, the game places players inside a compact 3D courtyard environment and asks them to restore visual order by locating, manipulating, and correctly placing scattered objects. It is a deliberately restrained title that prioritizes accessibility and relaxation, making its intentions clear from the moment play begins. The core gameplay loop is simple and easy to grasp. Players explore a three-dimensional courtyard from a first-person perspective, identifying misplaced or missing objects and returning them to their correct locations. There are no timers, enemies, or fail states, and the controls are intuitive enough that anyone familiar with basic 3D movement can settle in quickly. The challenge comes not from difficulty spikes, but from careful observation—recognizing where each object belongs and understanding how the scene should look once completed. This makes the experience feel closer to assembling a digital diorama than solving a traditional logic puzzle. Pacing is one of the game…
I feel that beyond these gates only death awaits me.
It's a very interesting game, but it's a bit short. It's easy to get through in a couple of hours
