About 4人打ちアクション麻雀 / ACTION MAHJONG
Add action game and mahjong game, then do not divide by 2!
A game that forcibly merged action game and mahjong appeared!
Of course, since it is Mahjong, up to 4 players are allowed.
Hands that cannot be made normally can dramatically be made, every player can become a winner, and gameplay is excellent too!
A lot of new strategies that were not in Mahjong are included, so a new page...even a new chapter is added to the history of Mahjong!

Mindware has once again brought back to life yet another forgotten 1980's classic. ● First was "地底最大の作戦" by Takaya Arita in 1980 which became COSMIC CAVERN 3671 ● Next was "SPACE MOUSE" by Takanari Suzuki in 1981 ● And now "MR. JONG" by Kiwako in 1983 has been turned into ACTION MAHJONG The game is in early access, but there are still plenty of differences from its predecessor. The four demons from MR. JONG have been replaced by 3 Mahjong players and 1 demon. Also there's a local multi-player mode. Hopefully SHARP MZ-80 and NEC PC styles will be added. Steam cards would be nice too. Even though the game is mostly in Japanese, it's simple enough for anyone to understand. Knowledge of Japanese Mahjong is still a must though.21 found this helpful

4人打ちアクション麻雀 / ACTION MAHJONG is an eccentric and energetic reinvention of the traditional Japanese tile game, taking the slow, strategic pace of four-player mahjong and transforming it into a fast, chaotic, and highly interactive arcade experience. Developed and published by Mindware, the game fuses the fundamental elements of mahjong with real-time action mechanics, creating something that feels both familiar and completely alien. Rather than sitting quietly around a virtual table waiting for turns, players are thrown directly into an arena where tiles scatter across the board, and victory depends as much on reflexes and movement as it does on understanding yaku and tile efficiency. The result is a hybrid experience that feels like a collision between Bomberman, puzzle brawlers, and classic tile games, all wrapped in a humorous and competitive tone that only a developer like Mindware could deliver. The most striking thing about this title is how it reimagines the core mechanics of mahjong into something physical and immediate. Instead of passively drawing and discarding tiles, each player moves an avatar freely around a board filled with tiles, grabbing, shoving, and collecting t…
Combines Arcade-like action and classic Mahjong, and the result is like peanut butter and jelly. PS please fix the achievement names!!
The game plays like the old arcade game Pengo, but you shoot Mahjong tiles into your chute to add to your hand. The music is like it came from the old arcade game Yie-ar Kung Fu. It's all too trippy! Anyway, menus are in English, not much to it. You can choose 'NPC play' to watch the game play itself so you can learn what's going on. Pretty fun and easy game to play, it goes for 4 rounds and it's over.
