About 9th Sentinel Sisters

<Story>

A long time ago, an unknown meteorite came to earth. The meteorite was sleeping quietly deep in the earth, waiting for the time to wake up.

10,000 years have passed, and when humans have built civilization, a change occurs in the meteorite.
Countless alien "breeds" are born from the meteorite and quickly devour the planet.
The true identity of the meteorite was the egg of an alien life form.

The land above is destroyed, and national functions disappear. Humanity is defeated.
Those left behind are forced to live in sturdy underground shelters.
The shelter was named "Ark" and became humanity's last stronghold.

In order to take back the land, humanity has gathered its wisdom and materials and developed two "anti-bleed" combat weapons.
One is the manned weapon “Father”
One is a combat clone soldier with the appearance of a girl who becomes Father's pilot.
They live in a deserted front-line base and then go off to fight.

Dead game is dead, so don't bother with the purchase. Was a nifty little game way back when, but it's been almost 2 years since the last update.

Survivor-likes have left an indelible mark upon your soul, and you are now cursed to try them all. As another user put it, bullet heaven brainrot is an apt description for this genre, and 9th Sentinel is no exception. There’s nothing groundbreaking about it. You collect weapons and passives, then take what you earn after succeeding or failing and buy permanent upgrades. Get used to the score, get used to certain weapons being ass, and oh right, the game might also be abandoned. Still interested? Outstanding. At first, it’s going to feel like you’re playing the same sortie over and over without much progress. You are Tom Cruise in a doomed timeline, destined to make the same mistakes over again until something clicks. You get to the same stage node, get swarmed by gold enemies, and nothing takes any damage. You are an imbecile, like me. You didn’t grind upgrades for all your passives. You did no due diligence in finding weapons that are not complete butt cheeks(laser, missile, drill etc). You did not main Saika. Seriously, what is wrong with you? Put this mech thing in reverse my guy. The game is short, hella short. There’s only 1 scenario with about 10 very familiar stages, and…

9th Sentinel Sisters is a fast-paced, post-apocalyptic action game developed and published by Live Wire that blends twin-stick shooting, side-view combat, and roguelite progression into a tightly focused sci-fi experience. Set in a bleak future where humanity has been driven underground by an alien force known as the Bleed, the game frames its action within a desperate last-stand narrative. Players take control of clone sisters deployed from underground Arks, piloting powerful mechanized units into hostile surface zones in an effort to reclaim what remains of Earth. While the story remains largely in the background, it provides a clear thematic motivation that reinforces the game’s sense of urgency, sacrifice, and repetition inherent to its roguelite structure. The core gameplay revolves around intense, arcade-style combat that emphasizes constant movement, precise aiming, and rapid decision-making. Using a twin-stick control scheme, players must manage positioning and fire direction independently while navigating waves of aggressive enemies that fill the screen with projectiles and hazards. Encounters escalate quickly, often forcing split-second reactions as enemies swarm from mu…

IT'S NOT ABANDONED! REJOICE! 9th Sentinel Sisters is a prime example of an early access game. There is minimal content and is very rough around the edges. Even with that being the case; I believe it shows promise, and at the $10 (CAD) price point its at (as of writing this review) I have more than gotten my moneys worth out of it. If you're a fan of the bullet heaven/hell genre and have a few bucks to spare on a promising Indie team; then i recommend trying it out and hope you'll enjoy it yourself! Some things i hope to see added over time would be: - An Endless mode - Different mechs/models (ideally one for each character) - Weapon combinations or special upgrades - A passive or augment system, something to add more variety to your build before you even start the mission Time will tell how much care is put into this game, but i am hopeful for the future and i wish you the best of luck Live Wire!

You know a game is good when you keep coming back to it even after you swear at it all the time!! it's challenging but once you play a few times it starts to click more and more. The only negative is the terrible translation into English, once that's fixed it will become a Gem.
