A Game About Penguins: First Catch

I don't know what the whole purpose for this game is, But I can tell you I really enjoyed sliding up and down the mountains and gliding across the map!

Fun little game, wish there'd be people to play it with though

A Game About Penguins: First Catch is exactly the kind of cozy multiplayer game that I can easily lose myself in for a while. I play as a penguin exploring a snowy island where I can fish, slide down hills, swim around, play little arcade games and generally cause harmless trouble. I liked how much freedom there is because the game does not constantly push me toward one specific objective. Fishing is probably the activity I enjoyed the most. I can catch different sea creatures and sell them for Penguin Coins, which I can then spend on cosmetic items. I liked having this simple little economy because it gives the exploration a purpose. I am not just fishing because it is there. I am building up enough money to customize my penguin and make the character feel more like my own. The island itself has a surprising amount of things to do for a prologue. I can take quests from the locals, play arcade activities, try the restaurant mini game, slide around the environment and interact with other penguins. I enjoyed bouncing between these activities because they keep the experience from turning into a single repetitive fishing loop. The multiplayer side is also a major strength. Exploring…
