Haven't finished it yet, but I think I'm almost there. I estimate it will take about two hours. It's better than I expected for the price. How many games are there about indigenous peoples and historical events in Latin America? Surely very few. This, Legend of Niterói is a Metroidvania action platformer where we explore beautiful natural environments in Brazil in gorgeous pixel art, with simple combat that works well for this type of game. It reminds me of 16-bit classics like Aladdin or The Jungle Book. The objects we collect are also log entries with information about the fauna and history of these places, that can be read (or not) from the pause menu, a nice touch. It is a game that undoubtedly deserves more recognition. I found it difficult to like/care about. It isn't sprawling like a typical metroidvania and it's very short. No map. Nothing particularly miserable about it, but I see no value in it either.

Opaaaa!! Eu recomendo sim! É uma obra de qualidade! abss!

Never has a game more accurately conveyed the nightmare that is trying to run from a large predatory cat

Great game so far. Engaging combat and puzzles, great setting, and its a lot more enjoyable getting factual information about real life settings and history than random lore about a sci fi universe being shoved down my throat or whatever. The game doesn't hold your hand nor feel aggressively challenging while exploration often feels rewarding. e: Played to the end and loved the whole experience. Highly recommend. Works great on the deck.
