Caapora Adventure - Ojibe's Revenge

I played 20 minutes of this game, shut it down and thought well it's early access... what did I expect. Then I looked at the store page, saw all the positive reviews, stood awhile in uffish thought and decided I owe it to myself to give this a proper go and in turn offer the community an accurate review. I got an hour in and decided that I had seen enough. Do I recommend this game? ...No. Do I think after some development, when this game has it's full release it will be worth it? ...No. There are fundamental flaws in this games development that simply prevent it from reaching its full potential. First lets talk about the good: - The game boasts an original soundtrack and the musical scores for each area are unique and well composed. They create a good atmosphere and ambience without being overbearing. The forest temple theme in particular was very pleasant. - The colourful and classic graphics are rather charming and I personally found them very nostalgic of early PS1 classic platformers such as Crash Bandicoot and spyro. - The setting is great and those characters presented are each unique with different character traits, that being said little is done to expand on …

É um jogo gostoso e tranquilo, mas tem alguns problemas: 1 - Bugs. Atinjo o inimigo, ele recua e tomo dano mesmo assim. Ou o caso mais bizarro de derrotá-lo e só depois dele morrer que recebo o dano. Outro seria que entre transição de cenário (ex: entrando e saindo de uma cabana) se vê claramente que o personagem "dropa" no cenário. Faz sentido na lógica de uma programação, mas fica meio engraçado porque é tão brusco que quebra um pouco da imersão. 2- Pena que seja curto. Mas mostra um potencial desse estúdio.

I Tried, I tried So hard to like this game. I reminds me so much of LoZ A Link to the Past. But at the same time, it feel Very, Very far from it. I absolutely Love the concept, but at the moment, it is very, Roughly executed. with Polish, This could be such a Wonderful game. So full of nostalgia and with such little hints of old snes games the way it is. But as it stand right now, right now, Unless you are a glutton for the punishment of early access games, put this on your wish list and WAIT. Wait for that polish to be put into the game, wait until its nice and smooth. This is a Very rough game at the moment, but it definitely brings some feels of the past.
