A Week in Paradise

This is a great game! Beautiful art, a really cool setup and excellent execution. The game tells a concise and confusing story, spoon-feeding you bits and pieces about the narrative until it all begins to make sense. I'm not usually a player of visual novels but this game was gripping, fun, and interesting! Not to mention that addicting (and deceptively simple) dart minigame...

Touching story

The best stories are made in front of a mirror. I am terrible at writing reviews, but what I do know is that games that tend to stick with me the most are the ones that are not scared to put their money where their mouth is. They give you a world that implicates more than you will ever know, nor should know. The most important part isn't what you can't see, but how the invisible causes the moments in time that we view. This game does that. I tend to think a lot already as it is, but this game made me love sitting and wondering what it's truly trying to say. Because it has something it shows you and doesn't tell you how you should feel about it. Simply trying to give it the way it is. And that's just vague ramblings. The more clear parts is that this game has the love and care of someone who wants you to enjoy your time. The animations are nice, it's well-written (if that wasn't clear!), the sounds and voices help convey the world that you're being put into, and it doesn't try to over-stay its welcome. I respect this a lot and would pay more for such a tight experience. I hope to see more from this studio that builds of the quality of this one. That's all I have to say. Although…

Legitimately one of the most powerful narrative experiences I have played this year. Top contender for my GOTY so far in 2026.

ETRIKIAAAA Loved it!

I don't normally do visual novels, but this one seemed very reminisce of coffee talk so I tried it out. It is very short and small in scope, so don't expect a grand narrative or many exciting characters. There isn't really any mechanics other than dialogue/drink options and small exploratory sections via an rpg maker like setting. For what it is though, it is a very well done. The sprinkled in voices, subtle animations, and presentation are more than adequate to make the environment and characters feel alive. It does a very good job at setting up and drawing you into the narrative, and then closes it all with a nice little bow depending on the choices you make. It does feel a little rushed at the end, as in once the mystery starts to unravel it unspools a lot quicker than I would have liked. Overall a short enjoyable experience, like a choose your own adventure movie that's cheaper than a big mac.
