About Abhorrent Light
Abhorrent Light is a dark medieval, non-linear hack and slash with dynamic scaling and loot. You are a bounty hunter, hired to protect the village from certain destruction. With an arsenal of weapons and items at your disposal, you must discover the source of the monsters that plague the village and defeat them before it's too late. Explore the lush environments and mysterious locations within the village and seek out more tools to help you face your enemies. Take on fearsome foes in epic battles and uncover the secrets of this once peaceful village. Designed with co-op in mind, play solo or with friends as you seek those that abhor the light.
- Emphasis on melee combat - block, dodge, parry and slash your way through the world
- Non-linear persistent world, dynamic enemy placement and randomized loot system enhances replay value. Approach the 3 main bosses and their respective locations in any order, it's up to you to discover advantages and disadvantages
- Earn gold to buy new weapons or upgrade your current ones by defeating monsters and selling weapons
- Play with friends for an even more intense experience
A torch is essential as you descend to darkness, there are many sconces to light the environment, you may even find other tools
Find or purchase the weapon with the best stats. Slower weapons generally deal more damage per attack. Sometimes a weapon is better being sold.

The game is basic but have potential. The ambience is great. This more like a beta if you want my own opinion. But the game have a spooky ambience that I really like. Three things who annoy me: -The ladder mechanic -The fall damage is really ridiculous... I died so often by just jumping where in any game you dont die.... - The footsteps. Your own footsteps seems to come like is someone is walking behind you. Overall: 7.5/10 If devs are serious and works hard on this one it can be really great. Lot of potential. As a Vermintides 2 player with +1000 hours. Keep the nice work and just dont stop here please.3 found this helpful

Horrible asset flip. Zero gameplay, bad combat, bad animations. Too dark to see anything. Just a generic clear map action (probably 3 bosses), Linear map, 1st boss takes ~20min to find and kill. No lvling, just new weapons +some upgrade, no enemy AI, 1 button combat, no balance at boss - it stupid fat and long. And game VERY DARK, black screen is everywhere.
