In this game, characters do not level up by fighting monsters. EXP is gained by eating! Various effects, such as gaining resistance to ailments and temporally raising stats, can also be found in dishes. Materials are acquired by collecting in dungeons, from monsters in battle, and through other methods.
Battling monsters offers a chance to acquire materials. Enjoy exciting battles, dealing massive damage, and aiming for an Overkill that grants extra materials, all while monsters on their last limb go Berserk.
More than 400 different recipes in total. Lead your party members to over 10 dungeons, loaded with materials and monsters that match the areas.

Adventure Bar Story is an older game that was previously on the 3DS / mobile now ported onto steam. The game was certainly cheaper back then, but granted a lot of games were. I do think a $20 price tag is a bit more on the pricey side for the game, but I personally enjoyed the game & also got it on sale so I can't complain. ------------ The game is a standard JRPG that has one primary twist being that the story revolves around the main characters bar "Kamerina Bar" which allows you to lvl up your character via consuming food. The concept of the game is rather simple, you travel across the lands in order to find new ingredients & recipes to further your restaurant career. In my opinion though simplicity is not exactly a bad thing, the game had a clear goal in mind & had some minor nuances and secrets that allow for a more fun experience. I will say though if you do not like grinding / repetitive actions in games, this game is probably not for you. Cute Reccettear clone based around food. You gather food to cook dishes to make money and to level up. You need to level up because there are monsters guarding raw ingredients. The cycle is Stock up on adventuring supplies, go gather raw ingredients/fight-monsters, come home and cook meals to make money and level up, and do it again the next day. There is another Restaurant in town which seeks to buy you out that you compete against. It's not as deep as Stardew's story. The point of the game isn't to learn other character's traits and form relationships with everyone. But the cooking system is in depth -- which is good given that it's the fulcrum around which the game is based.3 found this helpful

Game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Terrible translation and strict recipe system leaves gameplay much to be desired.
fun game but dear lord was filling out the collection book a pain with how scattered the information about this game is online
great game but like few new changes like new game+ mode,would like to have even faster battle, i think there is some issues with food recipe if you reach i am happy to provide no. , for developers is there any weapons from the mobile version?, will this come in pc adventure bar labyrinth
