About Alpha Dog
As a criminal on death row you can choose... Die quietly or die in the Alpha Dog dungeon! Choosing the dungeon will still bring certain death, but it may also grant you immortality if you can become the Alpha Dog champion by defeating the hordes of Cur over multiple levels using all your wits and the many weapons scattered throughout.
Alpha dog is an ultra-low-rez arena shooter with procedurally generated levels. You start the game with a simple pistol, but as you continue you can buy or find more weapons and upgrade your health. The game has the following features:
This game started from a simple premise - what's the smallest resolution that I can make a playable game in? After making some prototypes I realised that 90x45 was viable and set about making something that would be fun to play in such a small amount of pixels... and so Alpha Dog was born! I've always loved arena shooters, and the small play area lent itself nicely to this kind of casual shooter game. I've packed as much as possible into the tiny space available and I hope you enjoy playing it! Remember, it's not the size that counts, but what you do with it... ;)

This was an instant buy for me after the developer's previous efforts on the game Skein (go check it out if you haven't). I am a huge fan of pixel art games and I was fascinated to see how the developer could make this game work with such a low resolution. I am really enjoying this so far. It is a fun game to play in quick bursts - and is something unique given the low res graphics.3 found this helpful

Not the best thing to play in PC. I think it fits better as an android game (don´t know if that's possible due to how controlls are), autosave, not very deep gameplay and small levels: that sounds like something i would like to play in my phone/switch. For me it's an alternative to Spelunky when I play while listening some podcast. It is worth its price2 found this helpful
I put this on my wishlist the day it came out (I was in the GameDev group on FB). Great game, enjoyable and really well polished (even for a 2-bit style game). The mechanics works just right and the guns are satisfying to shoot. The starter gun is as balanced as it should be. I like the shader effects I encountered in level four with the bouncing enemies (really impressive to do that, I have 0 understanding about shaders). If you like rogelikes and the 2-bit style he went for, this is the game for you. Mechanic-wise is it a mix between TBoI and EtG. [i]Can I just ask for maybe a controls-editor or WASD-to-ZQSD function? I have an Azerty keyboard and in my games I tend to put keyboard-type-toggles in. Alt-Shift isn't hard to do but it gets annoying while eg. trying to chat with a friend while playing.[/i] Edit: grammar1 found this helpful
