About Alpha Version.0

INTRODUCTION

Fight against all odds and repel an entire army from the great city of Itenbaal!

Without warning, an experimental battalion composed entirely of humadroids went haywire during a sandstorm and turned on their very own place of creation.
They are called "Nadros".
Not only are they rapidly gaining terrain, but they also have under their hand a virus that turns anything with a processor into one of their ally.

The symptoms before complete infection are;
  • Staggered motor functions
  • Visions of "impossible" scenarios, tethering on the verge of paranormality
  • Overheating main core

Should you experience anything of the sort, you must destroy the source of infection at all cost.

WELCOME TO ITENBAAL

Home of all modern technological wonders!

Despite being almost entirely cut-off from the outer world, Itenbaal prides itself with its high-tech facilities, practically perfecting self-sufficiency even though it is located in the middle of drylands.

From self-maintaining power plants to underground labs fashioned from natural caves, From artificial nature parks to metal foundry directed by humadroids; the whole city has been designed to be as low-maintenance as possible!

Which makes the current situation much worse.

GEAR UP

Being a Class-C you are ill-fitted for combat.

Give yourself an edge by layering yourself with equipment.
From boots to overclock your processor, to chest plates to damper damage... Every bit makes you a stronger Humadroid.

It might even help you reach places you though were inaccessible.

LOOK GOOD WHILE DOING IT

An advantage of being a Class-C is malleability.

Be it a linear design or something made yourself, no harm in looking at your best!

NEWGAME+

Take the game beyond its limits.

Newgame+ is more than just a higher difficulty, more vicous enemies and boss encounters awaits you ahead!

this is like a slower mega man game do to no dash and without a charged shot that instead you start with a shield but you can still get new weapons and upgrades just not from bosses. the games not bad as levels have different ways to go and weapons are not gotten from defeating bosses but rather randomly found and upgraded. the game does suffers from some really bad design choices. 1) 1 hit deaths all over levels. not obscene amounts but gets annoying added with 2) bad enemies placement. some are set up so they are very hard to avoid or knock you into the 1 hit devtraps. 3) the walk of shame is bad enough and even though the game does have check points, mega female is soooooo slow that redoing stuff you die on is a drag. if you enjoy mega man 1 and/or 2 (i think rock got his slide in 3) you may enjoy this game better. it is one of the better mega man clones but overall i wasn't happy with it. i really didn't like mega man until the X series though i enjoyed rockman&fort and mm8 also. 5/10

This is an itch scratching game, more for those who prefer the Classic series than anything else. Even though there is double jumping and wall climbing, this isn't X or even Zero. You're slower, you can unlock a dash but it just makes your character move a little faster, nothing what like X/Zero can do. There's a shield which... I just don't really get. Bosses can break right through it, things you think it should block doesn't really, you can shoot down projectiles that it might be used for and outside of one, the basic humadroid enemies shots will just vanish after a short period, rendering them kinda powerless. It's a mechanic that feels like it was just pushed in there to reference Blues. The base game itself isn't that hard, especially when you get some power ups, most especially weapons. It gets really easy with all the upgrades, though I do wish I could disable some of them. Hover, for example, is nice, but using hover when trying to grab a ladder just doesn't work. You have to let go of the up button, then push it again to grab said ladder. For somebody with muscle memory of holding up when jumping to grab a ladder, this has caused multiple deaths. Hit boxes are a …

I have played plenty of Mega Man-like games in the past, thankfully most of them were successfully pretty good (we don't talk about "Mighty No. 9"). This overlooked game is nearly excellent. It is one of the slower pace games, so don't expect to run to the speed of sound gunning everything on your path. You will need to be methodical, focus and beware the one-hit death spikes. Bosses plenty to defeat and, don't worry, you won't find just a big roster of Robot Masters to defeat. They are far more interesting. There are plenty of updates you can get, most of them important for the metroidvania aspect of it. A+ for visually seeing your armor updates while you are playing. I truly believe here we have a hidden gem. If it was more well-known it would have been a big success and possibly a sequel. Highly recommend it. 9/10

This is a fun Megaman-inspired game. Well worth it. If you've played Megaman X/Zero/ZX, you should enjoy this.

With unusual, but great graphics in every level, this game, called by many a "Mega Man clone", is captivating. First class collision detection, insanely great levels and a soundtrack that is an auditory pleasure! Definitely buy it!
