Don't really recommend this one but liked some of it so don't want to thumb it down. Its hard, gets harder and you got to beat it a lot of times to get the true end and it ain't worth it. First run was good the rest is nuts.

I don't think the dungeon levels look interesting. There are a lot of palette swaps for monsters. I've beaten the game and played through as other characters, but it seems to make everything harder with every cycle, to the point of tedium. I like the gimmick of fighting by throwing enemies at characters, and that never gets old, but it's straining against the bulk of the game.

Amazing Princess Sarah, developed and published by Haruneko Entertainment, is a throwback to the era of challenging 2D action platformers, built with the kind of punishing design and tight repetition that defined the genre in the 8- and 16-bit generations. On the surface, it looks like a lighthearted fantasy romp: a princess sets out to rescue her father, King Kaleiya, who has been kidnapped by the demon queen Lilith. Yet beneath its playful premise lies a game that demands patience, precision, and persistence, offering an experience that rewards mastery through trial, error, and endurance. It wears its influences proudly, invoking memories of Castlevania and Ghosts ’n Goblins, while injecting enough personality and unique mechanics to carve out its own small identity in the crowded retro-inspired landscape. The gameplay structure is classic and straightforward. You move from left to right through enemy-infested castles, leaping over pits, smashing monsters with your sword, and collecting gems and hearts for health and experience. Sarah’s primary tool is her sword, a weapon that, while reliable, requires close-range combat and careful timing to use effectively. Her movements are d…

Amazing Princess Sarah is a decent metroidvania game. The story of the game is ok as you are trying to rescue your father from Lilith's and her hellish army. Each level has their own distinct look and feels, but very barren as it would be great to have secret areas to discover. The sound tract of APS is good to listing to and my personal favorite is the Dark Dungeon ost. The enemy types are decent as they add variety, but later the levels you'll just face color swap versions of monsters you face from earlier levels as they have more health and damage. The boss battles feel lackluster as they are easy to deal to combat with minimal strategy. The combat it bland as you just do a single slash but feels nice getting chained kills when you throw objects and enemies at a crowed of them. I wished there was more to it like having a skill tree or unlocking new abilities as you level up as the higher the level you are the more HP you have and damage delt to enemies. I would like to see more cutscene in the game to show how Sarah ends up in each level. I really like the seven new game mode + APS has to offer. Some new game modes are harder than others while adding a twist to ensure one play…
