Boring.

You know what they say - only Normal difficulty is HARDCORE difficulty. Want to know the True game - go hard. And thats where game turns into micro-rng chaos. Either you baby-sitting every little unit and barely random through - or entire fleet wiped in 5 sec timeframe. Another issue is UI scaling. Not looking good in 4k. Best way - unit behave orders from Homeworld 2. Here - more like downgraded hegemony. Overall - 40% for hardcore game joy. Almost good to play. Skirmish may be enjoyable.

Bottom line: not enjoyable. It would seem that the bones of a good game are here, but the execution fails to step up to the task. Just playing the game is difficult, from pathfinding of individual units, to selection of groups and units, to making sense of the HUD and menus. This difficulty seems a result of poor design, rather than challenges with hardware or even simply shifting perspective on the battlefield. What's more is the games story and characters do not seem to help provide the player with a reason to really enjoy even the first parts of the game; there is almost no context provided for the setting and world, and the initial presentation of characters lacks spark.

Good game. Crashes sometimes. Autosave doesn't work well.
