About Antigraviator

In the year 2210, racing has evolved far beyond its expected limits. New terraforming capabilities paired with scientific breakthroughs in the field of antigravity have given birth to a new spectacle: the Antigraviator intergalactic tournament.

Race perpetually on exquisitely detailed stages, full of light-speed danger, chaos and mayhem. Guide your Grav in three gameplay modes across five different worlds with three tracks each. These dynamic courses come to life, while pushing the power of Unity to the limit.

Challenge your friends in the fiercely competitive split-screen multiplayer mode.
Split-screen gameplay

Sabotage your fellow racers by activating hover mines, creating a rockslide to cause tunnels to collapse, firing missiles from rocket launchers along the track, and many more malicious tricks.

Customize your Grav to your heart’s content, but choose wisely: deciding on one upgrade may mean compromising on another. Strategically tailor-make your Grav to gain the upper hand in races or face the crushing prospect of defeat. In addition to the customization options, unlockable skins will be available free of charge.

In this futuristic high-octane racing game, defying gravity is the least of your concerns.

✦ AI summary

Antigravitor offers solid performance and straightforward mechanics, but players consistently criticize its poor physics that make the ship feel unresponsive and difficult to control, along with punishingly difficult AI opponents that lock much of the content behind near-impossible first-place requirements. Most reviewers recommend alternatives like BallisticNG or Redout instead, viewing this as an abandoned, unmaintained racer that failed to deliver on its potential.

For this price, I can't recommend Antigravitor. I got it on sale for 2 bucks, and that's about what its worth. tl;dr, get BallisticNG. Its cheaper and way better in every aspect. With that out of the way, lets get to the game itself. The visuals are alright -- nothing special, but they do the job. The performance is quite solid -- with vsync disabled it shot up to a rock solid 500 FPS at 1440p with a AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE. The music is on par and fitting with the rest of the game. There is some neat interaction with the environment in a similar vein as Split/Second. The mechanics are quite easy to pick up and understand. But that is where the positives stop. The most glaring problem is that the physics feel incredibly lacking. It feels like your ship is glued to the ground rather than floating a few meters above it. The control you have over your ship feels both incredibly direct and way to distant at the same time. When pushing the left stick in a given direction, your ship wildly jerks towards it, while on the other hand, it doesn't turn sharp enough. Mind you, this is kind of to be expected in a game where you have airbreaks. But the airbreaks don't really have an effect ei…

Too difficult for me. You have to get 1st place in a 4 race circuit to unlock the next one. Was able to for the first 2 but that was it and since there are 10 circuits overall, that is a lot of content I can't access because I have better things to do than to 'git gud'.

This game wants so badly to be something good, something memorable, to stand out among other anti-grav racers of its 'time', but it has to compete with Redout, and Redout does it faster, better, more intense than any racer like this could manage. I see great potential, but all this really is, is an abandoned, unmaintained husk of a racer that could have been really great. Handling is godawful even with upgrades, slamming into walls is a far-too-common occurance even when braking, and you can barely see the track ahead of you at times to prepare any kind of turn or maneuver otherwise. Good luck catching up with the AI, even with the 'traps' that kind of randomly just Happen (patent pending) on each track, sometimes pressing the button to trigger them isn't even enough and won't activate jack ♥♥♥♥♥. If you manage to avoid traps, turn perfectly, and regularly grab pickups, the AI will just magically be Just Fast Enough to keep you in the place you're in with no chance of recourse. Robots don't ♥♥♥♥ up in this game. You do. They don't care. You have to. I want to like this game, but the music is the same 15-second SNES loop blippy boopy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ any other racer could afford, the …
