Anxiety Arcade is a deeply relatable portrayal of living with anxiety. By turning intrusive thoughts into puzzles, it captures what it feels like when you can’t always rationalise your emotions or explain why something feels wrong. It’s not about fixing anxiety or offering easy answers — it’s about getting through the day when your own mind is working against you. The puzzles let you experience the thought processes of someone living with anxiety. Bleak, funny, strange, and deeply human, the game communicates isolation and mental noise in a way that words often can’t. This isn’t just a game about anxiety — it’s a reflection of living with it, and a great way to show loved ones what someone with anxiety experiences. Recommended 👍

My 2025 was defined centrally by anxiety. I'm doing better now! Every day is still work, but it's work that ends up worth it every time. And so, at the start of 2026? This game hits as very cathartic. It's simple enough, just a string of minigames with some light exploration threaded together by the protagonist's anxiety-ridden internal monologue. I also beat it after 22 minutes (according to steam)! However, there is a narrative density here, and I think its themes are very effectively explored. I'm betting a lot of folks with anxiety will find themselves laughing in that, "Yeah, been there," kind of way, but there's also a sequence towards the end that I think it's gonna hit harder too. That sequence is why I'm giving it a 4/5! As for my complaints, there is a certain jankiness to the controls. Often, I felt like my interact inputs were getting dropped. I also didn't love the text speed, though I wonder if this is intentional, to emphasize the anxious experience. Also also, I wish there was controller support. I have really enjoyed playing this game and have played through it twice. I think it gives you a pretty good look into the day of someone with anxiety.

Short, sweet, stressfully thinking about going outside. A pretty short adventure of getting ready to go outside. There were multiple endings of which it took me 30 minutes to reach one. Some Wariowaresque mini games and some humorous commentary about social anxiety. I recommend this game if you want to experience what it's like to get ready in the morning.

Anxiety Arcade is a short (emphasis on the SHORT) narrative on one's personal experience living with anxiety. While I didn't find this game to be arcade like (I expected more stress XD) , I could relate to the idea that such menial tasks can take up an entire day, and before you know it, all energy is lost, and you have to wake up and repeat the same tasks the next day. I found this to be a nice warm up or wind down for streaming, and it encouraged a good conversation on what others' experiences are like.
